The bathroom was a bit oudated. I got a feeling they're renovating the hotel bit by bit and this is the thing that's left to do. Wifi reception in the room was almost zero, but that was known in advance.

The bed was the best ever in a hotel: the perfect mattress exists. The view from the dining room was nice, you could see a part of the lake. Breakfast was good: enough choice of roles and bread and fillings. They serve a 4 course dinner for 40 euro per person. That was certainly value for money. Private parking space. There's a TV in the room, but we didn't use that.

At the breakfast the host prepared us a nice omelette when we asked. The buffet would be great with some more options to choose from, some veggies, some fresh fruit...

The location at the lake, nice view from the balcony, calm and quiet. The friendly hosts.

The accommodation is situated at a beautiful lake that has a nice castle at walking distance through the forest. Staff is very friendly, felt like home.

No fridge in the room. Restaurant is not open for lunch. No direct path from the hotel to the lake.

A small beautiful hotel in a quiet location with a very good restaurant. Lady at reception was friendly and welcoming. We got a spacious and elegant double room, which looked freshly renovated. Bed was very comfortable with a high quality bed linen. Big flat TV in the room, but, sadly, no fridge. Bathroom is also renovated, and has everything you may need. Breakfast was nice, continental, with tasty homemade cakes, but nothing special. Dinner was just amazing. They offer a set menu with two choices for a starter, soup, main course and a desert, you can take all the courses, or just some of them, price will differ. All the plates were beautiful, and the food fresh and delicious, very close to a Michelin starred restaurant. Sadly, the restaurant seems to be open only for dinner (7 to 9 pm), and not lunch. There is a nice lounge area next to the restaurant, with some books, games, and a big TV. Behind the hotel is a big lawn with a lake view and some sun loungers. Steep slope is leading down to the lake, but we didn't find a path and couldn't get down to the water. Castle Reinhardstein is in a walking distance from the hotel. To get to the castle, you can follow the right side of the road in the direction of the dam (lake), it will turn into a dirt road, and then into a forest path. Follow the road through the forest (there will be pastures on your right-hand side), and when you reach a small crossroad with a picnic table, take the left path, which will decent to the castle. We found that that's the easiest way and it takes 20 to 25 minutes to reach the castle from the hotel. Do not miss it, as it's definitely worth a visit!

We left too early for breakfast but the owner prepared a special take away breakfast for us with coffee in a thwrmocan. Excellent service. Bikes could be put in a shed which was locked by the owner. Safe storage. Happy with the stay and service offered.
