Charming little hotel in a historical setting yet nicely renovated with a modern feel. The staff is super attentive, friendly and professional. There is a beautiful garden, a fantastic restaurant and a cosy sauna on the rooftop. The place is close to the the center of town and the RAVeL trail. We really enjoyed our weekend here and highly recommend it.

Breakfast was good, the girl in charge was superfriendly and helpful ( cool elements in freezer, poached eggs for breakfast ) our evening meal in the restaurant was very good, the garçons ( all of them ) very friendly and polite , answered quickly for example salt and pepper, more or other drinks . The setting in the garden is beautiful and romantique.

I was a little disappointed with the size of the room in the ‘new’ block and, as others have mentioned it did lack a fridge, ac and any coffee making facility. However it did open out directly onto a grassy area which was perfect for our dog.

We loved almost everything about the hotel, in particular the restaurant, the comfortable beds and the staff who were wonderful. The garden was also very pleasant to sit in and the position of the hotel was perfect for our visit to the race track. We had a really nice meal in the restaurant and breakfast was great.

It's our third time at the hotel and we always like to come back. Great hotel, very nice staff, great food, great to relax in their sauna. There are so many hiking routes close by and other things to do.

The main draw back was our room where the bathroom, large and modern, had only a hand-held shower sprayer (rather than an overhead dish, with a hand-held device) which meant that the water sprayed out of the shower/tub and left the floor a wet mess. A simple hand-held device is not comfortable or practical for washing one self. Also no full-length mirror or a proper mirror to see even one-quarter of one's body. No conditioner but one bottle of bodywash/shampoo. The small sauna area has no hooks or shelves to place towels, glasses. And the steam sauna has no hose to wash down the seats before or after use, so we sat on our towels in this wet sauna. Never encountered a "dampf" or steam sauna that lacked a hose for cleaning seats. Two other couples came in, surveyed the lack of facilities for hanging towels or placing eye glasses outside of each sauna (only two), and asked us where they could place their towels. Disappointed, they left the sauna area. We stayed outside on the panoramic deck, enjoyed the simple quietude, and had the small sauna area to ourselves. So that was indeed the upside to the downside!

All the personnel were over-the-top customer-service oriented, very friendly, prompt, curteous. The ambiance in the main dining room is beautiful and everyone went out of their way to make it a special night. We did not like the table we were given and asked for another (we were also early guests for dinner), and this was not a problem. The attitude from the personnel was consistently upbeat and professional. When the waiter could not explain a dish (due to our lack of French!), he immediately got another "chef" to come to our table. Outstanding Service!

When walking to the city for sightseeing, you have to go along the main road leading to Stavelot and it is not the safest or nicest experience. There is of course nothing the hotel can do about it, just a remark if you decide to walk.

I loved how sensitively was the hotel modernized. There is an extra structure added to the main building as well as a separate residence building, all done in wood with huge windows, fitting within the beautiful garden and the city. The terrace was a pleasure to sit on - shaded by big trees, water bubbling and great cocktails served. We stayed in the main building on the first floor in a renovated (big) room with views over the residence across the valley. We have not tried the wellness (at the roof top of the residence building) from where the views must have been even nicer. The breakfast was very good - local smoked trout, excellent eggs, plenty of fresh fruits, croissants and cava ;-) We only enjoyed digestives at the terrace after a dinner elsewhere but the dining room looked very inviting! Dinner and the gin bar with herbs stay for the next visit.

Nothing really… perhaps a minibar or fridge in the room… they allow animals so, it would be handy to have a fridge to keep food in, for your dog, cat,… Perhaps also a water heater to allow you to make some tea or coffee in the room.

We decided to take a short holiday with the two seater to relax a bit and found this hotel in Stavelot… not far from Francorchamps racing track What can I say?… This is a lovely hotel that combines classic and modern elements to create a very nice atmosphere. There is enough parking space within the hotel grounds, the garden is well kept and the rooms clean and functional. The chef is incredible and dishes out one masterpiece after the other… Michelin star level! … and the staff is friendly and very helpful.

You can hear the traffic pretty heavily and the shower had mold on the corners.
