From the start to the end, Giovanni was a wonderful host and explained everything. Just a few clicks from the Ypres square, but super quiet and very well appointed. If you are looking for a stay in Ypres for a few days to a week, I can highly recommend staying here. Thanks Giovanni for the beer too. It was a top drop!

Facilities within the accommodation were fab. Washing machine, dish washer, fridge, freezer, oven, drink facilities, lovely bathroom with a great shower. Children and adults enjoyed the games room with Pool table. Location was great. WiFi fab. Could not fault anything at all.

Maison Remy was spacious, spotless and well designed. For our group of 6 we were extremely comfortable. The seating and dining area was roomy and with lovely courtyard and snooker room we never felt cramped. Fab & spacious bathroom. Giovanni was very welcoming and took so much time to provide us with local tips. He was extremely prompt and helpful with all email communications. Wish we could have stayed longer.

There was nothing not to like ! Ypres is a lovely and compact city to visit and Maison Remy exceeded our expectations.

Communication from Giovanni has been first class since I booked the accommodation. We kept in contact on the day of our arrival and I gave him an hour time slot when we were due to arrive. He was present at the property and gave us a really warm welcome and a tour of the accommodation. The house is immaculate, modern but not fussy and well laid out. There was plenty of room in each bedroom, the bathroom was excellent with a walk-in shower and separate jacuzzi bath. The living room was spacious and comfortable with a big-screen TV and Netflix to chill out with after a long day. The location is excellent, 5 mins walk to the main square where there are a number of nice places to eat, I have to recommend Leshalles in the main square, we ate there on Giovanni's recommendation and it was first class, the Flemish Stew and Pigs cheeks were a highlight. I have to also recommend Ypres Burger, WOW, what a burger place that is. Looks like any fast food joint but the burgers are outstanding, I've eaten a lot of burgers at different places but these are not to be missed. The staff were also excellent, allowing us plenty of time to eat even though they had cleaned up and were ready to go home. Back to the accommodation, which at night is really quiet so you can get a good night's sleep before another busy day. Giovanni was very accommodating and allowed me to provide the deposit in GBP rather than Euros so I didn't have to incur exchange fees. The enclosed courtyard is a real bonus for late-night chit-chat and reminiscing about the day's events. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend Maison Remy and Ypres, The location is excellent for cycling, we did a 35-mile circular route on both days, one to the north and one to the south. Stop looking for anywhere else, get this booked before it is fully booked, you won't be disappointed.
