Dear Andreas, thank you for taking time to write a review about your stay. We are happy you appreciated the location and the quality of our kitchen. Very true that 1st of May was extremely busy! But about the choice of your room (a classic standard room) : The older part of our building is maintained just as well as the renovated rooms. Each room gets the same attention, is spotless and there are no defects. We are aware that there is a difference with the newest rooms but also the price is different! Of all the 42 rooms, there are only 5 left with carpet... Guests can always indicate their preference in advance and we certainly take that into account. Hopefully you'll give it another chance, booking another type of room, and of course pre-booking the parking in advance, which we advise in all of our booking confirmations. We even offer a preferential rate at the Q-Park if you book a room in Le Bassin. Hope to welcome you again!

Dear Monica, thank you for your positive comments. We are happy you appreciated your stay and our fine kitchen, which is always an added value for a hotel. We have rooms of different types, and therefore also of different prices. You have chosen a classic room, with standard dimensions, budget-friendly. But we also have very spacious, luxurious rooms, with a fridge and Nespresso machine, and a large bathroom. Maybe a good idea for your next stay in Le Bassin ? Hope to welcome you again!

Dear guest, thank you for your review and for your appreciation about our ideal location. We do have different types of room, according to one's budget and preference. The room of your choice is a standard room that is very correct and budget-friendly, but indeed not the largest. We have arranged everything in that available space as functionally as possible. Hence the swinging door, because a normal door was simply not possible in that space. We'll be happy to welcome you back in one of our many large, spacious rooms.

Dear guest, dear Anja, thank you for the positive words about our staff and the rooms. We are also happy you appreciated our restaurant and bar, where one can have a lovely evening and delicious food & drinks. We are aware of the noise you suffered from, and we apologize for the nuisance. This was due to our brandnew rooms we have built on the first floor. But in the meantime, we got to work and built a complete insulation cell around the engine. The nuisance has been resolved! And so we would like to welcome you again. Thanks again for your stay.

Dear Margaret, thank you for taking the time for a positive review. And thank you for appreciating our staff and their friendly helpfulness! Our kitchen serves only fresh and quality products, both in the morning for your breakfast, in the afternoon and in the evening. We are happy you enjoyed your meals. We are aware that the rooms can sometimes be warm - but then life mainly takes place outside. We already provide a fan for each room. A very heavy investment such as air conditioning will probably be installed in new-build rooms in the future. Furthermore, we do understand that you might find the room small, but there is indeed in each room certainly a chair and a table, or at least a wide windowsill, especially provided for that purpose. And at the head of the bed a cupboard was provided that serves as a bedside table. and above all : not all single rooms have the same size , some are a lot larger, please do not hesitate to ask for one of those. And be most welcome again at Hotel du Bassin !

Dear Victor, thank you so much for your kind and positive review. Indeed, our location is great, close to the city center, station and the sea. Our city is centrally located on the coast and there is always a lot to do in the summer, glad you enjoyed it. At Le Bassin, you can indeed check in earlier or drop off your luggage so that you can enjoy your stay to the fullest. Furthermore, we have really taken your comment regarding cleaning to heart: these are certainly things that are unacceptable and we have also taken immediate measures to prevent this further. We apply strict hygiene measures and this must have been a human but exceptional error for which we apologize. On the other hand it should be mentioned that all safes in the room function properly, the instructions for use are included and they are checked regularly.
