We would have appreciated the provision of a lift, but the owners kindly offered to help carry our luggage upstairs.

Friendly, welcoming owners. Very comfortable and elegant ambience. Substantial breakfast. Good TV and WiFi. Only 500 metres on foot to Veurne's very attractive Market Square.

Staying at this B&B was an absolute delight. The host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we needed for our stay. The breakfast was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. We also appreciated the location of the B&B, which was close to many attractions and quality restaurants. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway.

No elevator. No mini bar or fridge in the room. Bathroom and toilet without a door. Floor level differences in the room. No night curtains in the bedroom.

Central location. Nice view on two churches from the suite. Large bed. Nice breakfast room and lounge areas. Good breakfast except for the bread, which was awful.

Grand entrance from the street… this castle is impressive. It was cold out but the place was warm and welcoming. Both wings have their own staircase. Every room has a high ceiling which makes it feel so spacious. The owners have put a lot of thought into the decor, so much to appreciate. Breakfast is top notch. There’s a great bike room at the back of the gorgeous garden. You are in the middle of the town but it feels like you are in the countryside.

Hair dryer was completely useless Our shower drained very slowly so you had to keep water turned down a bit lower than we would have liked. Otherwise an excellent stay

Beautiful, well appointed rooms in period style. Very clean throughout. High end toiletries provided. Excellent breakfast. Welcoming hostess. Coffee and tea machine in room. Close walk to Center Could relax in the drawing room or book in to the spa if you liked.

As the house is old there's practically no noise cancellation.

Pretty small mansion near the town square with its own garden. Our room had old wooden floors and high ceiling. Tasty continental breakfast served to table by the garden was a high point. Storage room for bicycles was provided.

It opens at 4pm. 3pm Would be better….but there is an excellent bar 100m away where we had a few good value drinks whilst waiting..

It was a very well appointed property which has been updated with modern heating and plumbing without taking away the ambiance of a 100 year old mansion

The owners of the property are absolutely fantastic, very kind and friendly, they welcome us with a big smile ! The atmosphere of the B&B was worm and cozy, one of the best we have ever stayed in. The property is located in a short walk distance from the main square. We recommend this property to everyone ! Noise from the street - the hotel did provide earplugs which helped. It would have been nice to be able to make tea, not just coffee, in the room. The shower is outdated. Not a dislike per se, just a small comment: for breakfast, consider letting people indicate (maybe on a checklist-type paper) what they do or do not want. For example, in our breakfast tray were 2 yogurts. Given the choice, we would not have selected those, and I do not eat fruit at breakfast so I would have 'saved' the property that too. We were asked whether we wanted pancakes, but as the question came at the very end of our breakfast, we were too full. It would have been great to have known earlier. (Again, the checklist could help with that.)

The location is very convenient to the main square and the mansion is beautiful. We loved the cocktail bar ambiance in the evening, with reggae music and cozy lights. A huge selection of mixed drinks, including mocktails. The ones we saw (and my husband tried one) were beautifully presented. The room was large and not hot. There was a filter or cooling unit, something like that. We booked private use of the spa and this was money well spent. It was lovely to have quality robes, bottled water, and excellent fresh fruit (mango, oranges, grapefruits, and several others). The facilities are lovely, with several rooms, relaxed ambiance (candles, large showers with great smelling gel, a bathroom). I would just recommend a few tweaks to take it to the next level: (1) the face scrub was a lovely touch but the bottle was virtually empty, checking before each set of spa guests would help with that; (2) the hot tub was far too hot (I know it is supposed to be hot, but we literally could not even enter it until closer to the end of our 2-hour spa time); (3) the sauna didn't seem very hot, even though we set it at 65 and restarted halfway through to keep it warm; and (4) the hammam stopped generating new steam about halfway through our time and was only usable for part of the second hour). Breakfast on the terrace was nice. I liked having the choice to have tea, and the option to order eggs and smoked bacon. A good selection of breads. Might have been nice to have salt and pepper on the table.

    nothing!

A fantastic stay in this elegant 1906 villa, delightfully reinvented as an exceptional bed and breakfast. The beautiful cocktail bar and lounge is amazing: huge chandeliers hang from the very high ceilings while the dark walls and beautiful furnishings create an intimate cosy atmosphere. The grand proportions and stylish decor continue upstairs to the enormous comfortable bedrooms. Julie looked after us perfectly. We enjoyed afternoon drinks in the spacious garden, a relaxing evening with cocktails and a delicious sharing platter in the bar, and a very generous breakfast in the charming dining room.

It would have been nice to walk in the garden - maybe it was possible but it was not obvious how.

It was easy to find and to park outside. The hosts were friendly and attentive. The room was interesting and comfortable and the wifi connection good. It is close to the centre of town where several restaurants and cafes are located. Quiet.
