I found the hotel quite overpriced - while the room was tidy and clean, it had rather a distinct feel of a tourist hostel, including very poor noise isolation. Renovations are ongoing in part of the main building thus our room was only accessible via a narrow back staircase, too. Also, it is true the hotel premises as such are rather romantic, but the two separate parts of the hotel (linked by a small bridge over a stream) are sandwiched between a train station and a relatively busy country road. There are not many trains during the weekend and there was not too heavy traffic yet during our stay but I think that staying right next to a train station does not quite equal to the hotel being “within easy reach of the train station ” as it is presented here.

Staff was very nice and friendly, food in the restaurant very good and nicely arranged on the plate. Large choice of food for breakfast including fantastic brown bread!

There is nothing not to like though it is being expanded currently and there will be some building work for another month or two, though this was not intrusive.

Bang opposite Poix St Hubert station but no train noise. Convenient as a touring base. The hotel spans the river with its own dedicated footbridge supplementing the nearby road bridge. Good beef for dinner but the exceptional part is the unique range of 50+ local beers - only from the province and a couple of kilometres beyond its borders. The locality is interesting too.

Welcome could be better. Much more could be made of terrace by river. Restaurant was very overpriced. 17 euros for a burger, very small glass house wine at 4.50 and tap water refused.

Beautiful setting by river. Excellent location for breaking journey on motorway. Scenic area. Next to railway so this could be a factor.

Can be quite noisy if you are a light sleeper for the rooms that face the road, and if you are unlucky to have noisy neighbors as the soundproofing desires the best.

An excellent view over the river from the rooms that face the front. Very quiet also. Friendly staff!

The walls are made of paper. I could hear people whispering in the room next to mine. Not to mention that you can hear anyone going up and down the stairs at all hours of the night.

The bar/dining room/breakfast room is charming. Breakfast was really good.

Small niggle; As I was staying with a friend I would of liked to have a bathroom door. Could use the toilet door to obscure the view but still was a bit strange. Probably the type of room I booked.

A stunningly beautiful location Comfy beds Cool decor Great shower Cool in the summer Tucked away Idyllic Good bar facilities

No wifi nor 4G in the rooms. No shower, only a bath-tub with shower-head you have to hold in your hand.

The excellent location: close to the work, in the middle of beautiful forests(oxygen), next to a nice river, quiet. The friendly staff. The cleanliness of the rooms. The space of the rooms. Free wifi in the reception area and restaurant.
