Real guests. Real stays. Real opinions.Read more- opens a dialog box
Only a customer who has booked through Booking.com and stayed at the property in question can write a review. This lets us know that our reviews come from real guests, like you. Who better to tell others about the free breakfast, friendly staff, or quiet room than someone who’s stayed at the property before?
We want you to share your story, both the good and the bad. All we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines.
We believe review contributions and property responses will highlight a wide range of opinion and experiences, which are critical in helping guests make well-informed decisions about where to stay.
Contributions to Booking.com are a reflection of the dedication of our guests and properties, and are treated with the utmost respect.
Whether negative or positive, we'll post every comment in full, as quickly as possible, after being moderated to comply with Booking.com guidelines. We'll also provide transparency over the status of submitted content.
Once a review has been submitted, you can modify it by contacting Booking.com customer service.
We will use the same guidelines and standards for all user-generated content as well as the property replies to that content.
We will allow the contributions to speak for themselves, and we won’t be the judge of reality. Booking.com’s role is that of a distributor of feedback from both guest and property.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc...).End of dialog content

- Fridge does not work. We also inform their staffs but it seems like they knew it already and does not care to fix it anytime soon. Although, they are nice to offer us to keep our baby food in their restaurant fridge. Appreciated it! - Fire safety measures should be better taken care. On the second floor, the fire extinguisher is located at the corner and is blocked by a couch. In reality, if that couch catches fire, you will have no chance to reach the fire extinguisher. I would suggest the hotel to remove that couch away. There is no use of it at that spot anyway. - The hotel room is good enough but very outdated decoration. The bathroom doors are not easy to close it properly. Lighting is a bit too dark in the room. They need to freshen up and renovate their rooms.
+ Top location, just steps away from the beach + Friendly and helpful staffs + Room is ok with outdated decoration + Fast elevator + Parking is nearby, it costs 5 Euro per day + Two supermarkets nearby (one is just opposite to the hotel) + Nice basic breakfast + Easy and fast check-in/out

we would've liked tea and coffee making facilities.
The location is great, very close to the beach, parking is a slight pain as its roadside away from the hotel, although it is free.

It was a shame the restaurant closed at 6.30 each evening, as we would have liked to dine there (Booking.com advertised this as early closing on a Sunday evening but was in fact every day). Although we stayed at the end of May there were more food and drink places closed than open at night, as the season doesn't appear to get fully underway until later in June. The choice of restaurant was therefore somewhat limited but there were a couple of good friturs and plenty of choice in Newport and Ostend, both a short tram ride away. Middelkerke is a pleasant resort but we found it very, very quiet - can't fault the hotel though.
The hotel was centrally located, just a short walk from the nearest tram stop. Katrien made us very welcome and served a great breakfast each day. The food was wonderfully fresh and tasty. Although the view was comprised of rooftops and the rear of taller buildings it was away from the road and very quiet, which suited us perfectly. Our room was fine, and although the smallest of the ones we had throughout our trip it was perfectly adequate, well decorated and clean. Staying at an independent family business made a pleasant change from the chain hotels we stayed in elsewhere.

Nothing to not like really. We didn't find any hotel parking but pay and display on the road outside is free until 9am and there is no bar or coffee making facilities but these are less common in Europe than UK so can't complain.
Comfortable beds, quiet, clean, warm, powerful hot shower, continental breakfast with lovely fresh bread. We arrived late but this was no problem, hotel and room key were left in the key safe outside. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the promenade and 5 minutes from the town centre where we found a great bar for a well deserved beer or two after the long drive. Great value hotel with friendly hosts, would definitely recommend.

The room was very dark and at the back , the bathroom was very clean . The quilt cover on the was torn and the base sheet didnt fit it was to small for the double bed and kept coming of when we slept . The light fitting by one side of the bed kept dropping down when you switched it on and during our stay and then it turned all the lights of to which my husband go down to the restaurant and ask the proprieter to fix them which was done , but asked us not to touch it again as it was loose !
