Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BulgariaOnly one elevator. Had to wait more than 15 min with the luggage, as the staff uses the same elevator to do their jobs. Nothing that can be improved now, but it was the one thing that made impression. Other strange thing was the extra charge of 5 bgn per night for the baby coat. It's Nothing really, but as we travelled a lot in Bulgaria in 1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 star hotels, that's the first that charges for the bed. Just a strange charge.
The staff was polite and helpful. The location is good, the beach is excellent. The pools are always an good option for the kids and adults. Room was good, but go with higher class room if you are with kids. Standard room is not very big, but it's nice and conformable. The food was good and had choice.

United KingdomThe rooms was in poor condition, we had to call the cleaner twice the first day to finish the cleaning. The sofa bed was awful for sleeping on. The door handles were all rusty.
All but room was great - nice swimming pool, beautiful surroundings, reasonable breakfast, great beach!

BulgariaThe food was not great, but there was always something you could eat. Finding a place to park is a bit difficult, but not impossible.
The location is great! The staff is polite and accomodating, they gave us a great room as close as possible to the beach. Free sunbeds and umbrellas at the beach, which is shallow and ideal for kids. We will definitely return :)

CanadaStill no WiFi in the unit. You have to get to the lobby for that. But who's there for the wifi :) Available parking is still an issue. However there seems to always be a spot for one more vehicle available :) No social distancing or masks. Just like everywhere else in Sozopol. Not a good combination with only 15% vaccination rate in Bulgaria :(
Great location 50m from the beach, liked the complimentary umbrellas and shezhongs Breakfast was scaled back due to Covid, as it should. TG no buffet... Staff is very friendly and helpful, esp for Bulgarian standards :) We left behind some items, was contacted right away and they were available to pick up when we went back

United KingdomUnfortunately the staff is very young (probably teenagers on theirs school holidays) and unprofessional. The breakfast was poor and tasteless without a big choice.
The hotel is at a good location on the beach with lovely garden around. The room was clean and spacious, with very comfortable bed. We will book a room again.

United KingdomThe drinks were ridiculously expensive and they closed the bar at 9:30pm. Do not go if you wish to enjoy yourself! Also the breakfast was poor choice compared to last year. I think they should not accept visitors if they are not going to provide a full service.
The hotel itself is lovely.

BulgariaDuring the evening, our room was infested with thousands of fruit flies everywhere, we couldn't sleep at all. When mentioning it to the staff they said that the problem is in the whole hotel and they can't do anything. The hotel facilities are nice, but this was genuinely the worst hotel experience for me, they should take care of this problem

BulgariaI am still so angry that we stayed at this place. The hotel it self is beautiful. The gardens are gorgeous and it is right on the beach. The management... I have no words... First of all if you are planning on parking in the free parking lot just forget about it it's tiny you'll have to be lucky and be there right when someone is leaving. Then you would expect that a four star hotel will have at least soap in the rooms but that was not the case. The room itself was okey but it had this really dirty runner in the middle of the tiled floor. The cover that hotels put at the end of the bed was in fact on a chair and I really hope that the cleaning lady just forgot to put it on because the bed was otherwise made and it smelled fresh. (BTW. We got there very late and we called to say that we are going to be very late so it's not like they didn't have time) The bathroom smelled like mold and the drain was clogged. The towels were mismatched and kinda old and hard and they offer no towels for the pool. The pool closes at 5 pm. Wich is insane, but it's also full of cute frogs that enjoy it all night. The restaurant looks like depressing students cafeteria and it works only certain hours. We only managed to have breakfast there and it had admittedly a lot of choices of sliced meet cheese and bread and cereal, some sad eggs and tomatoes and cucumbers and of course the cheapest juice. If you want to eat somewhere else you will need your car. The rooms actually have small kitchen nooks with an oven and an aspirator so I guess if you bring pots and pens with you, you can cook in your four star hotel room. The little store in the foyer and the pool bar close at 9:30. ... Honestly if you get a very cheap deal it's not that bad but we did not because it was a last minute booking and as you can see ... It seemingly has great reviews. Maybe I'm just jealous of the frog.

BulgariaThe top floor flat with huge terrace is literally falling apart. Dirty couches, doors to the terrace are tilted and very hard to close, the carpet is dirty and torn, bathrooms are dingy. Clearly there was no renovation or even refresh done for many years. Temperature in the room was 30+ degrees with aircons above the beds (so not unusable while sleeping). One of the bedrooms had an air vent going though it. It was VERY noisy and turned on 24/7. The foods was OKish with few occasions where bad salads were served. The terrace has a plastic shed on it and is right next to the bathroom vent on one side and the restaurant kitchen vent on the other. Behind it is the main road and dirty canal, hardly a comfortable place.
Close to the beach however the hotels have taken over the entire beach with umbrellas and sun beds, still there is no space for all the guests and the simply shrug and sent you away. The free zone is close to the canal (worst part of the beach), small, dirty and very overcrowded as well.
