Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Upon arrival, we discovered that the hotel only deal with one tour operator. We tried to book a trip through them but it was fully booked throughout our stay. However, I managed to find another which provided the same tour. I would therefore recommend researching and booking tours in advance of your stay
Great location, quiet but short walk to main boulevard of shops, restaurants, bars and Metro Station. Comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. Lovely garden restaurant attached

It wasn't a problem for me - this is just a warning: there really, really, really isn't any parking anywhere near the hotel. So either travel light and take the metro to NDK, or get a taxi.
Located five minutes' walk from Vitosha Boulevard but in a very quiet neighbourhood. No disturbance, even on a Friday night with the window open. The breakfast buffet was fresh with a lot of choice and the coffee was great - from a machine, but one that grinds the beans. Friendly staff.

The WiFi in our room was not very good, which is unfortunate as we booked this hotel because we had read many reviews praising the internet provision. We were at the far end of a corridor and I think we must have been too far from the modem/server.
Wonderful location for a trip to the centre of Sofia, just off Vitosha Boulevard which has many bars, restaurants, and shops. Very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast with a wide range of choices. The room was well-appointed and the maid service was prompt and efficient.

The wifi was a little slow
A lovely hotel located on a quiet street 5 minutes walk from the metro. We arrived early at the hotel following a long train journey. The hotel staff were nice enough to let us check in early. We were greeted by hotel staff each time we entered the hotel. There was a large buffet breakfast in the morning of hot and cold foods

Everything was perfect apart from the WiFi which was always going off. But I had no other problems.
The design of the room and the location was very close to the main attractions. There was a drive and nice clean bathroom. The staff were polite to me. I’d love to stay here again if I ever return.

Beds are a little hard On floor 5, you can hear the lift going between 11pm and 1am and the hairdryer in the room next door. Breakfast at 8am is great, but by 0830 the hot items are quite cold.

The only thing I noticed is that the shower needed something on the floor so that water does not run out. The rest was excellent.
The hotel is very near the main street of Sofia. It was very clean and had excellent breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent service received. The room was quite spacious and had a kettle also. The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor level and bar service is open till late.

Breakfast was good, but could improve. Few selection to choose from and same food everyday.
Location was in the heart of Sofia, few minutes walk to Vitosha boulevard and other main attractions. Reception staff are very helpful ! After checking out, we left the luggages at the reception desk to go out and they also booked us taxi to the airport ! Room was comfortable and cleaned everyday. Value for money, highly recommend. Also reception desk is open 24/7 !

The bed in my room wasnt the comfiest. I did notice some stains on the sofa too. I wish the kitchnete/mini bar had more than just a microwave.
Good sized apartment room. Warm water in shower. Easy to get around the city from the hotel and they offer transport.

Some maybe holes in the floor covered by carpet. The minifridge rather heated things instead od cooling them.
Great location, lovely receptionists, good breakfast. Rooms could have some upgrade, but all was fine.

Very helpful staff, booking taxis and reserving a table at a resturant for us. Great breakfast. Great location just a few minutes from restaurants and sights. Nice clean and modern room, just what we needed for a couple of stopovers at the beginning and end of our trip.

Breakfast can be definitely improved since there were not many options and the quality in general was not that good.
Hotel Niky is a great choice for Sofia. Located in the city center, 5 min walking from the area where all the cafes and the restaurants are. Very clean and quite room. The staff was very helpful also.

The bathroom although Big and spacious.. lacked certain facilities.. like no hooks to hang clothes.
Hotel was located very close to vitosha boulevard and ndk metro. Close to plenty of restaurants and bakery options around. Easily walkable to all sights. Staff were very helpful and always welcoming with a smile. The lady at the pantry was very kind and greeting us with a smile. Breakfast was the same menu but in ample amount. They refilled it through out the breakfast time. They replaced the towels everyday.

The hotel had great breakfast included with the stay. The hotel is located in the heart of Sofia, 5 min walk from Vitosha blvd. The room and common areas were neat and clean. The staff was welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful.
