We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesMy reservation was for 3 nights at the Novotel Cotonou Orisha but the first night (late check in after 8 pm) they placed me in the very different inferior quality IBIS hotel next door. Tiny bare bones room. I did get a rate reduction on the one night and contacted hotel management next morning to get to the right property. The first reservation should have never been altered or changed without getting my acceptance, authorization first.

NigeriaSome of the bar staff need training on customer service. It was a chore getting their attention and one even tried to pawn off his mistake on us. Also, we had a member of staff enter into our room, even when we did not answer, just to drop off a hotel flier. This was a very disturbing...this is a lapse in hotel security.
The breakfast selection was very good. Great selection for both young and adults. There was hot and cold options. Reception, cleaners and the dining staff were also friendly and their added knowledge of English helped make things (even making complaints) smoother.

NigeriaThe language barrier was problematic. I found it slightly difficult to communicate as majority of the staff spoke only French. It would be helpful to incorporate some English speaking staff. Secondly, the TV channels were all in French and French subtitles (even though the channel was already in French) except CNN. That made the stay in the room boring for me, as my family and I don't speak French.
The breakfast spread was versatile. My family and I enjoyed it.
