Arrived early hours having paid for that night and the guy on reception was just shrugging his shoulders, it was after midnight and we'd messaged to explain our flight got in late and they said it was ok, but it seems they hadn't told him and he didn't speak English. So initially we thought we'd have to sit in the foyer all night, then he moved us to another property down the road in a proper weird room and building, only to come back once the owner had got our message to move us into the room. At this point it was getting on for 2:30am! The whole place felt a bit shabby around the edges too, door handle fell off bathroom door, couldn't see through window for example.

The bed was comfortable and we requested more pillows and got them. The WIFI in our room was good because we basically had our own router. Breakfast was decent, lots of shell in the eggs which put me off a bit but not the worst. Had laundry done at a decent price. Good location, AC was really good.

Unfortunately the room was dark, and small. And the only opening window, opened onto a boiler room/ services. Which was a constant noise in the room. Air conditioning did start to leak water towards the end of stay. No storage space or cupboard for clothes.

The breakfast was excellent everyday. Freshly prepared and lots of choice. The staff worked really hard providing the food and keeping the breakfast area clean & tidy. The communal area was nice to sit in. Location was good for local.beach and metro. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The shower was good. Air conditioning was effective. Had a fridge which was really handy. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The room itself could have been a little cleaner and more modern, and the windows are also construed as partially open, which may embarrass some guests.

Breakfast was OK, with both cold and warm food, pastries and cakes. The staff was friendly and helpful, there was a fridge in the room which was absolutely necessary during the summer. It was especially convenient that breakfast was served very early, even on the dawn of my departure. The location was also great, close to the Botafogo taxi and metro station, yet remarkably quiet during the night.

I had asked for a quiet room but unfortunately it was noisy, I was given a room on the second floor without a lift with a very small bathroom and in the hotel they gave me and hair dryer broken and didn't have others ... The room is without external window but only inside the building

The window to the room could be opened from the outside which isn't very safe (room 109). Some of the sheets had stains. There's no safe in the room so the fact the window can be opened can leave you feeling on edge. My room had a lot of noise from downstairs but other rooms might not be so bad.

Breakfast was great, nice food and choice. Nice bars , restaurants and shopping mall nearby, botafogo in general is very safe

Its hard to find it at night, not clear entrance door. Cheap way to build rooms, many hazards inside the rooms, for example steps to enter bathroom than stairs to the bedroom. All within close proximity. 3 different floor levels.

You can get hot water in the shower only with a small water pressure, otherwise it's only cold

Chill and nice place, seemed like a little family. Great location, shops, seaside and mall very close. Botafogo is a safe area perfectly between the city center and south side so it's very easy to go both ways. Breakfast was nice and made fresh, staff was very friendly.

They don't have a lift. In the room there was only 1 cup and plate. It also does not make sense that there is no kettle in the room when there is a kitchen?.

It was a spacious room and a big fridge. The hot water was super hot 🔥 The location was perfect.

The place itself was under a construction so it was very loud and dusty.

We liked the breakfast the most as they have baked delicious cakes and had a big selection of fresh fruits! Location was also good and we usually took a bus everywhere.

Our room had a window which could not be opened, but the main problem was that there was something always on on the outside which produced a constant noise inside the room. During the day it was not a problem at all, but at night we had to sleep with earplugs.

Staff members were very nice and polite. Breakfast is really good, with lots of different cakes every day, and yoghurt, hot eggs and sausages. Location is great and the wifi worked well.

The only issue was that the room felt a bit damp because of the lack of window to the outisde, but this was not something that bothered us a lot. I still think this is a very good value hotel.

The staff were really nice and attentive. Breakfast was great, with lots of variety every day and plenty of food and coffee. The room was clean and the wifi worked enough for me to work from the room and lobby.

The Price/Breakfast/And the room I booked had literally 13 different power outlets for my to use 😂 as a photographer it was great to have many power outlets to charge my equipment!

The quality of the toilet paper could be better, even for a 3 star hotel.

The position of the hotel is great, the room spacious (we had a room for 4, even if we were in 2 because we had lots of luggage with us) . The sink of the bathroom being outside it but inside the room gives more space to the bathroom, which would be tiny otherwise. The breakfast is various and very good.

The room was nicely designed, but it only had a window onto the corridor and apart from the air conditioning there wasn't any ventilation so the room smelled of humidity. I think it should be made clear that the room doesn't have a window onto the outside as this is what it looks like on photos. The breakfast was ok, with mainly pastries and fruit, but the scrambled eggs looked and tasted disgusting. I only booked it because that was one of the only rooms still available during carnaval, but deffo would not pay the same high price again or go back to this hotel.

Good location with lots of shops around it. Lovely staff and receptionists. Especially Carol who spoke very good English and was always very friendly. You can buy water, beer and other drinks at reception.
