Room was not up to the standard for a hotel at this price. Did not like that the room was divided so the bedroom feels very small and claustrophobic.

Lack of soundproofing anywhere, you can hear all of your neighbours and the street. Furnishings are quite old. Air conditioning in the room was very noisy. When breakfast gets busy, the staff are overwhelmed and not able to tidy up / restock food quickly enough

The staff are friendly, there’s a good pool and the bed was comfortable

Graveyard shift staff need more customer service training. Savory food at breakfast too salty for my taste. No complementary bottled water or at least it’s not clearly labeled in English

Rooms are very quiet even if you are facing the road. Layout of the room allows for a separate working space - ideal for business travelers. Excellent service from the day staff. I highly recommend this place for business travelers

The rooms were split into bedroom and living room but the wall is extremely thin so it would be better to have one big room. There was quite a bit of hair in the bathroom when we arrived. The pool had no water.

Staff was mostly friendly, however people at reception did not really speak English, which I would expect at a Mercure. Location is excellent.

The toilet did not flush well - had to ask to be de-blocked a couple of times, and the air conditioning was not working properly and could not be fixed despite prompt response and good try from the maintenance team (not ideal in a 42 degree warm day). The cooking facilities were very limited (microwave and small fridge); however this was not a problem considering the good breakfast, the restaurant in the ground floor (good cost benefit) and the others nearby.

The staff was very friendly and there were very prompt to respond to our room and maintenance services; good wifi. Breakfast was very good (e.g. hot cheese breads brought to the tables as a treat), and again, catered by an extremely welcoming staff. The location, although not in a particularly 'touristy' area of town is relatively safe and surrounded by a number of small restaurants, bakeries, a pharmacy (open 24hs) and mini super-markets and catered by a good restaurant at the ground floor. Taxi stand at the door, bus stops at the corner. Room overall comfortable and clean.

No problems at this time. But, superior rooms are much worth, in my opinion, than regular.

Room was superior, very clean, on the last floor, very silent and comfortable. Staff is still very kind and helpful. Check-in and check-out was very quick.

    It was all good.

A lot of fruit available and nice, fresh cheese bread. The amount of fibre could have been increased by adding some no sugar added granola, muesli?

Super delicious, straight from the oven cheese bread! Delicious fresh fruit, excellent choice of drinks, pastries, cakes, deli meat, cheeses, etc. Cereal choice could be more "fibrous".

When I make the reservation by site, ask me if I have kid and your age. But in the hotel they only receive the room reservation. Don't have bed for my daughter , the staff guy found , but if do you ask about how many peoples get the room and don't have bed are a problem.

    The staff are very good.

Rooms in a not very healthy ( new) condition, need improvement and renovation, breakfast super crowded, no coffee machine or cattle in the room despite it was mentioned on the booking site!! Not a 4 star hotel. Good 3 star.

Contradicting information on price and conditions by different staff members. Excuse that 'she doesn't know because she is new' about a colleague on two different occasions with 3 weeks between them. Phone reservation gave a price but on closing the bill there was another (higher) price.

The amenities did not work well. The toilet does not flash properly, the room was meant to have a small kitchen and there was a broken microwave and nothing else. Asked for kettle twice and it never arrived. Staff hardly communicate in English, except one...

The room was nice and spacious. Clean and quite.

Limited English spoken at reception - we speak Spanish and Italian so made ourselves understood but could be tricky. Bathroom was average, pretty small and bodged repairs but functional. We were on 14th floor - windows can open fully - H&S concern!

Even standard rooms had great layout - separate bedroom and lounge area. Location was good - Vila Madalena walkable, nice bars close by, safe and quite buzzy of an evening. Nice pool and good breakfast

Lack of English speaking staff during the night. No problems during the day. I woke jet-lagged at 4am and no one at reception could speak English and even on the 2424 number provided that one could call 24 hrs for assistance (info written in Portuguese and English) the person couldnt speak any English. That said, i need to improve my Portuguese clearly!

Very helpful staff. Even when I found at 4am that there was no one who could speak English when I rang reception at 4am someone came straight up to my room to assist (with sign language). He was very well dressed and pleasant and eventually we worked out I wanted to know if the gym was open and and he went and got me a iron. Very good service. The pool looked great althought i didnt have a chance to jump in.

staff great, wonderful swimming pool. 10 minutes walk to metro station Clinicas, 15 min taxi ride to paulista/consolacao shopping area. lots of little restaurants/bars and shops nearby. taxi stand at doorstep. free wifi works well and support called me to reset it one night when it was spotty.

Mercure had posters inside the elevator showing small prices and breakfast included. That was a boomer.

We loved the location and the style of the room. Travelling with a small child can be trick sometimes, but the room set up, like a suite, was perfect for our privacy and our son's comfort.
