Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesFor such a hotel, transfers to and from the hotel/village by boat should be free during the whole stay, not only at check in/check out. Especially at night where the only way to get back is by boat. The massage mattress did not smell good- seemed like it was placed in a moist room without windows for too long.
Exceptional, remote location Room with an amazing, breathtaking view on the bay Very nice and caring staff Good caipirinhas and appreciated happy hour

GermanyBesides the check-in/check-out process, boat rides are priced at 20 R$ per person each way / Facilities could use some modernization and maintenance / Modern exterior does not quite match the interior style of the rooms / Outdated bathrooms
Great spot just a quick boat ride away from the main village / Very good breakfast with lots of choices / Kayak is available at the dock to explore the bay / Staff is friendly and ready to assist with island adventures

United KingdomIncredible location and view from the room’s balcony, as well as gorgeous views from breakfast and the bar/sunbathing deck - perfect for watching the sunset. Staff very friendly and helpful, and the boat taxis to and from the town (Abraao) were super easy to use. The bar serves amazing Caipirinhas on the edge of the water with a daily happy hour early evening too!

United KingdomThe breakfast was not covered well, so it was attracting a lot of insects, making some of it inedible. The timing of the boat shuttle was not per schedule most times, so there were slight wait times, but it was no issue once you were prepared for it.
The room we had overlooked a stunning view which was worth the price alone. The location was truly incredible and made it a special getaway spot.

United KingdomWe had a few issues with communication in terms of ordering the boat to collect us from the main pier when we arrived (we waiting 50mins rather than the 10 we were told) and got the wrong food order on one occasion. I wouldn’t say this was a dislike but would advise to double check orders

NetherlandsThe shower did not have hot water during our first day, after we reported that they sent someone to fix it the next day, then we had hot water but no cold water. It took some time but that was also fixed, things happen of course but for the premium price we payed we were a bit suprised that we were not compensated for the inconvenience. Communication was not always as quick as it could be, asked to communicate through whatsapp was not always quick, phonecalls where often not picked up. Ordering their boattaxi was often replied to with a 10 minute wait, but that mostly turned out to be 30 minutes. For a resort of this quality they surely benefit from and faster boat and more spot on communications. One night we ordered a pizza, they where very accomodating to assist us at the reception but failed to communicate to the boatdriver it had to be picked up, we told him ourselves and all turned out fine. The guys and staff really tried their best. To be honest none of these issues were dealbreakers at all. But given the prices, the bar was set high. We had a great time though and thank the staff for their efforts and welcoming atmosphere.
The location is beautiful and feels like absolute paradise and very exclusive. We booked the honeymoonsuite and it was as gorgeous as pictured. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great and plentifull. Getting to and from the resort takes a 10 minute boatride or a 20 minute hike through the jungle and shores. Loved the bar and happy hour! Also two wonderfull beaches can be reached by using the back exit at the resort, both beaches have restaurants and are dreamy places to spend an aternoon. The village nearby is very cute and worth a visit.

United Arab EmiratesWent for a quiet chalet to be close to nature. Had construction going on for the whole time we were there. No one told us that metal grinding, and railing assembly was going to take place right outside our accommodation. Staff never offered any option to move. Near by beach pumps loud music all day that can be heard from inside the accommodation. So if you came to enjoy peace & serenity, you’re out of luck.
