The shower was either hot or cold. No in between. The balkony could use Some pillows to sit on. Would recommend it though!

Staff had to open and unlock the gate manually for you every time you wanted to leave/come in. I felt a bit bad coming and going all the time.

The bathroom weren’t so nice,and not always clean and the bed was uncomfortable. The mattress was too thin so when you were laying down you could feel the wood underneath. And that you were allowed to use the air conditioner only in the night until 9am and sometimes it was very warm

It's an old house located in a great spot super close to Porto da Barra. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is also good. I stayed there 3 times during the last years and it's been always nice!

Breakfast should just be included and the price per night raised to reflect this. I didn’t book a room that included breakfast so it felt a little awkward in the morning when I went up to make my own breakfast and a buffet was laid out, with staff cooking. I didn’t feel like I could be there, so just something to consider.

It was a very pretty old house that had been converted into rooms. It had a nice big kitchen on the top floor and the whole place was clean. Also the staff were very friendly and let me check in a little early after waiting because the room was ready which was nice after a long bus journey.

The staff was loud in the early morning by the breakfast and watching TV the whole day. They were eating stinky fried garlic in the evening and behaving as if they were the actual guests, more than workers. Some of them smoke marijuana too.The dog was aggressive to my wife and shitting in front of our door. We felt generally really less welcomed, as if we were unwanted guest in someone's house. Breakfast was poorly served too. The bathroom wasn't clean, and the shower was cold. Never going back.

Loved this hostel. It’s more like a shared home than a hostel. Lovely, friendly diverse cosmopolitan people - both the staff/volunteers and the guests, nice spaces and rooms and super queer-friendly! Definitely a social place without being a “party hostel”.

Nothing to declare, I really enjoyed my stay.

This hostel is just amazing! Not only members of staff are very friendly, they are also very knowledgeable of Salvador and helped me to make the most of my stay. Breakfast was delicious, the hostel is cosy, it's extremely clean, and it's a five-minute walk to Porto da Barra beach. It's so easy to get to the centre of Salvador by bus and very cheap to get an uber.

It’s all about the amazing Rose who works tirelessly to keep the place spotless after serving up the best hostel breakfast I’ve ever had anywhere. Flávio is great fun. The location is spectacular, decent wifi, super clean and comfortable.

There were no “real” windows in our room, but since we spent most of our time outside it didn’t bother us too much. There was not any hand soap in the bathroom.

Great location - very close to the beach and all the restaurants. You feel safe in this area. The personnel is very nice and helpful. Very good breakfast.

The people there are not welcoming at all. When I arrived at the place I felt as if I had come to them against their will. During the day they shout and get angry at each other and the employees. It's not really clear how a place like this gets a score above 9. I had to be around, and this is the hostel that was the closest and highly rated. Unfortunately I found myself in a place with strange people. I slept in where there volunteers sleeping, together with the volunteers and local workers. Unfortunately there was a horrible weird volunteer of theirs , who when he was alone with me closed the door, bothering me. I won't say how. Superestimado, lugar terrível com vibrações de pessoas zangadas, sem atmosfera. They don't speak English there at all. The place is on a main road with traffic and construction noises. The only normal people there were - 1 Brazilian women volunteer, and a guy from Argentina.

the airconditioning was switched off every day between 9 AM- 9PM, that was unfortunate and not according to the information i had before booking. and it was very noisy at 6-7 AM when the personnel was making breakfast. our room was next to the dining area.

the kingsize bed, it was comfortable. the room was spacious and the nice balcony.
