Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This place has a problem with the elevators, too few working, they have 5 but only using 2. Is crazy you need to wait too long for all you want and need, even going from one floor to the other

The breakfast could be a bit better The location is a bit far from the main interesting things in Salvador
Great overall, super good value for money. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was spotless clean. The staff was great at accommodating any requests.

Very difficult to find towels for pool and other exercise related activities
I didn’t have to leave the property for what I needed and the food was great including the entertainment offered.

I have nothing to say about the property , but as a solo female traveller staff needs to make sure they don’t say the room number out loud , I had a man who came to reception and acted a bit abrasive while I was being served , he was very attentive of what I was doing , and the receptionist said my room number out loud , when I left reception I could see this man rushing to to be served a ran to get the same elevator as me . I noticed that and immediately I came back to reception and ask for my bedroom to be change , either number a floor .

I had dinner there on my last evening. I paid in $R cash and the wait staff said that they didn't have change, nor did they make any attempt to get me my change, so was it okay that I let them keep it, which I did.
The best thing about my stay at Intercity was the people at the front desk, especially Ana, & Murilo (who spoke perfect English) they were so warm and friendly. Then there was Neia who worked in the breakfast room along with the cooks. They made sure that I was comfortable.

Bed was a little uncomfortable.
Clean hotel and very spacious room. The breakfast was plentiful. Would stay here again if I had to be in this area of Salvador again. Was perfect for taking an early morning bus from the bus station nearby.

We tried to order room service as we arrived late but there was no menu in the room so it was difficult to order on the telephone.
We requested a cot for our baby and it was all set up in the very large room when we arrived. The receptionist had good English and was very helpful and the breakfast was excellent.

My door didn’t lock when I left the room. And I just realized because I have read similar situation from the Booking reviews for this hotel. When notifying the reception, they quickly sent a maintenance worker who solved the problem but had to break the lock, it soiled the room a little and I had to wait. Pool and rooftop closed due to renovation. I was only warned after the payment at check-in, bad faith! My check-in took 30 minutes ... attendant seemed to be in training and there was system slowness according to reported. I didn't receive any tourist information. Reception staff dealing with a lot of problems at the hotel while doing service. They were all on bad mood. Due the renovation, the noise in the room is immense and constant throughout the day. Breakfast is nothing special.
Very comfortable, spacious, clean and well decorated room. Soft bed. Strong shower.

Very old furniture - and we booked the luxury appartment. No furniture on the balcony. Sinks are not working properly so the water does not go down quickly. One of the two toiletts we had was not flushing… We asked for a maintenance worker but no one came… Flor and furniture were not clean…

My room was not good. There was mold in the bathroom and the AC did not work well. The room got very hot and the AC was not sufficient
The staff really made my stay alright. The staff was amazing, very welcoming and trying to solve all issues that came up. The breakfast was good. and the hotel is really well located, close to a major mall and places to go.

My colleagues and I were not supplied with invoices or receipts. The staff said it would come by email but we didn’t get them. So we cannot claim business expenses.
