Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaAir conditioning broke down in entire 2nd floor. The only room available is 103 with working air conditioning is next to bar which is very very loud music which was supposed to close at midnight. But loud music continues and has to call police according to hotel to have the establishment stop the music. Other rooms are fine with the music except room 103. Hotel did provide compensation but not able to sleep is not good.
Location of the hotel is opposite of the opera house. Room are clean and spacious.

BelgiumBeautiful and elegant Hotel. Comfortable and lovely rooms. The staff were most friendly and attentive. Great breakfast and food. The view from the rooftop was extraordinary but we could admire the Opera from our room as well. The stay in Juma Opera was one of the highlights of our journey.

NetherlandsAbsolutely the best view and location in Manaus. The breakfast was outstanding, and so was the room - very comfortable without needing to be wasteful or over-the-top. The breakfast/restaurant area deserves all the attention - it is so beautiful and the view, again, is historical and excellent. The staff was absolutely perfect, with flawless service around the clock. 10/10

United StatesBreakfast was good but they buffet ran out of some items. Prior to coming here, I received many emails telling me my credit card failed. Tried calling and emailing hotel with no response. When we arrived, it seemed no one knew of any problem. Frustrating but all ended well.
Location across from the Opera House was wonderful. Also it was not far from the boat terminal where we picked up our cruise. Could have walked but wheelie bags on cobbles are tough so a quick and easy Uber worked. Views from hotel roof great. Staff pleasant. Also view from room wonderful. Bed very comfortable.

BelgiumI had several issues from the moment I arrived. First, the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working. After multiple attempts to fix it, we were moved to another room. However, in the new room, not only was the air conditioning also not working, but the bathroom flooded. We were then moved to a third room, where the air conditioning was finally working — but the room was much smaller, with a smaller bed compared to the first one. I complained to the staff, but they insisted that the room was the same category. This was extremely frustrating, as it was clear they were not making any real effort to solve the problem. As an apology, they offered us a courtesy meal at the restaurant. On top of that, the welcome fruit basket had grapes that were completely moldy. For a 5-star hotel, issues like these should never happen. The staff should also be properly trained to handle situations like this in a professional and efficient way.
The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the area. The spa staff were very attentive, even though it wasn’t possible to book the duo massage since there was only one therapist available. The pool is beautiful, with a stunning view of the theater. The restaurant staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better.

United KingdomWe had two issues: the first one being that we were given the wrong room the first night however it was sorted very quickly and we spent the last two nights in a perfect room with a lovely balcony. I drank the wine by the glass however on the last night we decided to have a bottle of the same wine, a glass of wine was R$50 and we were charged $410 for the bottle. I did query it but got no where!
Their airport shuttle met us at the airport, it all ran smoothly, he even took us to a cashpoint enroute. It is a beautiful hotel and we had a very relaxing time. Lunch and Dinner was spent on the terrace overlooking the opera house. Perfect.
