Everything was perfect, Clovis Jr is just the best host you can get

Very comfortable , hosts are incredible

wow, such a genuine and warm family welcome! This family goes above and beyond to make sure you have a carefree stay with tours and advice. Their recommendations for restaurants was spot on as well. We had a roomy 4p room with homemade breakfast.

This was a wonderful little homestay sort of place, run by a sweet old couple. They made sure I had a really wonderful time for me. I had nice little moments with them, like the mother giving me a hug when I arrived and the father helping met catch little frogs. It was almost like a home away from home. Even small things like the mother boiling water in a pan for me each morning so I could have tea at breakfast were really appreaciated. I really wanted to visit the Lencois sand dunes and lagoons, but it proved very difficult at first because most people only spoke Portuguese. So their son Junior - a great guy - was a life saver, because he spoke English. So he helped me arrange everything. I had some very specific requests and thanks to him I have been able to do so many amazing things here in the exact way that I hoped. Something that would have been very difficult without his help. The Lencois sand dunes are absolutely incredible and I have never seen anything like it. Be mindful when you go, because the lagoons are not full all year round. The accommodation is close to the city centre, its about 15 minutes to walk to the waterfront at the river for restaurants and also something like that to go to a big supermarket. Area felt very safe. Thanks to my hosts at Toca do Vaidoso I have been able to have a great experience visiting the sand dunes and lagoons and I highly recommend staying there if you want to as well!

This family did everything to make sure my trip is a success. Very patient with all my questions; arranged to prepay my transfer from Sao Luis. I am very grateful for their hospitality.

The owners are amazing, really welcoming, hospitable and friendly. They make you feel like home -- and this makes up for the flaws of the pousada. They can also organise day trips for you, which is really handy. The breakfast is tasty, and the common area really convenient.

The cleanliness of the room could be a bit improved. I found some plastic bags under the bed at the check in. The room, on contrary to the owners, was a bit unwlecoming: I was unable to open the windows and it was constantly dark inside. So the only way to see was to turn on the only source of extremely cold withe lights that burns your eyes in the evening/morning - I really recommend a small desk light somewhere.

The hosts are exceptional! From the first moment you feel like being home, and they are very friendly and helpful with everything! They arrange everything on your behalf so you can just enjoy your time being there. Totally recommend this place!

It was like living in a family! The place is cosy! Regina (one of the owners) is super kind... Like a mum (but the whole family of owners was great)

Such a lovely Pousada at the edge of the river! The couple who own the pousada are very lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome. They helped us to sort out our transport and shared a lovely passionate fruit cake with us as when we first arrived. The know a lot about Barreirinhas and I wished we had stayed longer

Never have I ever met the kindness I found in Regina, Clovis and Junior. They are excellent hosts. The room was simple, clean and very comfortable. The wifi was great and the location of the pousada is perfect. I would happily return.

pousada is managed by an older, super friendly couple. You will receive a warm welcome and immediately feel at home. Spacious room with nice shower. Copious breakfast. Our private tours were arranged quickly and efficiently by Dona Regina. And tips regarding restaurants and places to stop were great. Don't hesitate, this is a unique address to spend the night!

The best hotel ever! The owners are so welcoming and lovely. The concierge is the best, and will go above and beyond any 5 star hotel. They help plan all your tours so you don’t need to worry there. The homemade breakfast is the best. I feel at home here. I will never forgot the hospitality here!

Absolutely lovely elderly couple managing it - would absolutely recommend

A very nice, clean and quiet pousada, 5-10” walk to the city center!! Clovis Jr was very helpfull and allways avaible!! Breakfast was great in all his details!! Obrigado Clovis and family!! Ate mais!!
