The staff especially at the reception could be friendlier. You have the impression to disturb them and some of them are not willing to make efforts to communicate in english, quite disappointing for such a hotel.

Breakfast was wonderful. Location - though hard to find at first - proved fantastic. View of the mountains and vertical landscape was great counterpoint to the Ouro Preto architecture.

The breakfast was nice and varied, although it did not have many vegan options which limited what we could have. The location is not walking distance from the centre so be prepared to get taxis. None of the staff we interacted with knows how to speak English so some Portuguese language skills are needed.

We had a lovely time here. It’s a beautiful hotel and location with a nice view of the valley and town. The guided tour that was recommended by the hotel was excellent and the massage, sauna and swimming pool facilities are great.

If you dont have a car its quite a hilly walk to shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurant was good but if you like vegetables like me, you wont find much on any plate.

Coffee tasted like burnt shit. It is not admissible that in a country where more than 40% of the world coffee is produced, they only have dark or extra dark roasts.

It’s hard to get there if you follow google maps. It’d be nice to have better directions from them… Also, the recommended tour agency didn’t show up to pick us up.

Wifi connection was poor to non existent in our room. The location is not great - you need a car to visit Ouro Preto. The room was a bit small and didn't have much space to keep / hang clothes.

The swimming pools are great! The property in general is really pretty. Friendly and professional staff. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. The restaurant's cuisine is exceptionally good for a hotel.

The rooms were extremely humid and moist, so it affected my lungs. Beds were not too comfortable. We had trouble turning on hot water in the shower, but staff were helpful. Sauna was closed during the times when I wanted to use it (morning and evening).

The location is amazing, beautiful views, the pool is very nice. The breakfast was very good. Close to a local old mine you can visit. Staff were friendly.
