We made the booking on booking.com and within an hour we met Mr and Mrs Dorsett at the property and was in the property. Parking is available directly in front of the building. The place was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and The area was quiet.  My wife and I visited New Providence so I can meet my Doctor's and visa appointments. After a long Day this place was so relaxing.

Got a taxi from the airport that was referred to me by the host, and I arrived at the location for check-in. and no one was there to help. I was told via text that I would receive a code for the lock box on my arrival day, and I was assigned to a room. Thank God for the wonderful taxi driver who kept calling them until the husband answered and said he would be to the location in 5 minutes. We had to stay in the taxi until he arrived , otherwise, we would have been left outside in the hot sun. When the husband arrived, we were assigned to a totally different room.

. If you are on a budget, great place, able to walk to the fish fry and beach, be prepared to walk.

the unit I stayed in had a single partial roll of toilet paper when I checked in and when I messaged to get more (I stayed 8 nights) I didn’t get a reply for 11 hours. it was a good thing I messed before it was all gone. a single roll was delivered at night. no other paper products were in the unit.

I was able to get a nice amount of exercise in as I walked to different sites. it was approximately 35-40 minutes to central Nassau on foot.

Trash can was not emptied, beds were not changed ,towels were not clean upon arrival. The host was not available upon arrival to take care of these issues. During the entire stay, there was no hot /warm water. No garbage bags. No directions for check in check out. When making the reservations my credit card was not charged, so I had to use PayPal according to the host and was charged an additional $137. Overall , I would not stay again or recommend it to friends!

Once you found it, the location was good. The kitchen was an asset. Bed was comfortable.

The apartment, the location and the host! The beach and restaurants were not close by at all. I didn't feel safe at all. There was loud music playing at night, which the host denied, yet I have the video evidence to prove this. The host would not let me leave the property until I had paid the $100 cleaning fee, which I wasn't aware of, and since I've been back, I've been advised it was $75. The place had cockroaches in the bathroom, I could hear the neighbours making loud banging noises in the night, it wasn't the peace and tranquility I was hoping for at all. I had to book into a hotel for the remaining 2 nights (I had booked 3).

AVOID! Nothing, the bed was supported by breeze blocks, it wasn't the accommodation I had booked and the host was rude and threatening.

The Host Sonia totally delivers what she promised and more…..The place it’s close to beaches, restaurants and downtown Nassau.Accessible to transportation.Definitely worth the trip and price and I can recommend

It turns out we were now staying at Rhonda's Abode(also located here on Booking.com.) Rhonda(who was very sweet) has two dogs. I have allergies. Her home is also a lower cost on Booking, and needed to be cleaned prior to our stay. There was hair in the bed, mold on the shower curtain(see pictures) and ants on the sink. After one night in that location, I was very sick by morning, so we had to leave and book a separate stay last minute. I would've been willing to let this go, had I received a full refund. Unfortunately, Sonia did not want to offer that, as she cited that we had stayed one night. So she charged us for the one night we stayed despite it being in an entirely different location, where dogs were not mentioned, and we did not agree to stay. If we could've left the same day, we would've, but financially and safety-wise, it did not make sense to grab a cab in the middle of the night when we weren't at our original location. We left the next morning with the cab driver and went on a more comfortable stay. Customer service is huge to me, as is the principle of a matter. If you know that you've done something wrong, correct it. She could've even offered to charge us for Rhonda's place(which, again, is listed far at a lesser cost.) What I would have really appreciated is a full refund. For lodging us somewhere, we did not consent to, where the space was not healthy for me. If you have made it this far, make the decision for yourself. I sincerely hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. It was dishonest.

This is a review of our experience booking A Taste of Paradise because we did not actually stay at the reservation. I'll preface this by saying that I am blessed to have traveled a lot, and this is truly a first. My husband and I booked our stay at Sonia's place two weeks or so before our travel. We were quoted one price on Booking.com, which seemed reasonable. Closer to our stay, Sonia reached out with an invoice via Paypal. Since Booking said we would pay at the property, I figured this was her way of processing payments. I did not expect the additional 6% fee on the property. Most hosts will absorb that cost to keep their price on the original site, honest. This was my first red flag. Before our stay, Sonia was very communicative. She even arranged for a fabulous cab driver to pick us up. Upon arrival at our destination, the house looked NOTHING like the one we booked on this website. We waited outside, uncomfortable to enter because we were sure we were in the wrong place. After the cab driver triple-checked the address she was given(different than the one we had, and that we gave customs,) we called the host. No answer. We called her other number, no answer(this is all on the cab driver's wifi; otherwise, we would've had to use our international calling.) Finally, the cab driver rings the doorbell, and a woman comes outside. The driver asks if she is expecting guests, and she says yes, for Sonia. It turned out that we had been moved to a friend's home without our permission. When you book a stay, most folks calculate walking distance, look at cleanliness, and host reviews. When you change someone's stay, you change their choice. We would've appreciated a heads-up and the option to opt out of this new location.

Sonia and her husband are wonderful super hosts. They ensured that our stay was lovely and comfortable. She organized chauffer services during our stay and yes Mr.Almond took good care of us. The unit is a little gem, tastefully furnished. A feel of home away from home. We highly recommend this place. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you so much Sonia!

This was our worst experience with accommodations ever. Sonia said we would be picked up at the airport. We were not. Our taxi driver could not find the location as we had no directions and the street was not named. There was no sign on the apartment. As we were leaving in our taxi for the airport, Sonia came out of her place next door and we met her for the first time and she wanted US$ 206 in cash. We hope no one has to suffer through this experience. We feel a refund is in order.

Very cozy and has a home-like feeling to it. It was clean, with comfortable sofa and amazing bed. The host was incredibly kind and patient even when I had trouble with the GPS while trying to get there.

Run down and cramped accommodation. Not even basic toiletries included. No kettle for making tea or coffee. Even though the floor was clean, I spotted at least 1 cockroach and 1lizard, which had crawled in under the door! For what it was the price was exorbitant.

The TV worked and had Netflix.
