We had a bit of a break from camping and the heat but it can get hot in the hut. The mosquitonet over the bed is made of a cotton fabric so the fan is actually useless. We made a little fort with the fan but maybe its better to get nets with breathable holes in it :-)

Very nice garden, easy check-in, nice breakfast, room looked beautiful, liked the little shop.

Oasis in a desert of dust with very nice owner and personnel

The beds are far too soft! And the price is understandable given market conditions in Maun (close to the Okavango Delta) but in comparison to other guest houses in Botswana (with AirCon, fridges in the rooms, sanitary conditions) it is a little bit overprized. This does not reduce the value of Discovery B&B, but as a honest reviewer this has to be said.

We spent three nights at Discovery B&B, a good place to visit the Moremi National Reserve and the surroundings. It is a real oasis in this dusty area, full of plants and birds and provides a very quiet environment. The personnel is super-friendly and helpful to organize trips etc. The dinner - home-made by the friendly chefs - is tasty and integrates local as well as international components e.g. greek salad, red beets etc. together wither with Seswaa dishes or Boboti. All guests sit together around a big table what creates a familiar atmosphere. Breakfast is great. If you want to go to town (Marcs Eatery must be mentioned) they'll help you with the reservations. All in all: Highly recommended!

Accommodation was clean, comfortable and very attractive. Set in a lovely garden and decorated in a charming Botswana theme. Dinner was excellent, featuring traditional dishes, and breakfast was delicious. Our hosts and their team were friendly, informative and efficient.

Our stay was so nice, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Discovery B&B was as nice as the advertising but with so many birds in the garden to see. It was clean, comfortable and each room had privacy from one another. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you 😊

It's the African feel, but you could argue that the roof of the rondeels are too open, so mosquitoes can come in easily. But there are mosquito nets around the beds.

Marij and René have made a little paradise here near Maun! Great staff and a beautiful and comfortable room. Away from Maun, but staying in the city centre is not a plus anyway. Food at the restaurant and at breakfast is good. We would certainly choose Discovery again!

Discovery is very good value for money. There is very little to dislike about it. It is about a 20 minute drive from the airport and a little difficult to find at night, but this can probably be said about most establishments there!

Rene & Marije have done an exceptional job to develop Discovery B&B over the years. It is very comfortable. I first went there over ten years ago and I particularly like their Botswana style 'huts' and decor, as well as the 'open style' architecture that encourages interaction and communication with other travellers. This B&B is a 'cool' African experience!

We had 2 single beds put together to make one bed. It was uncomfortable as there was a gap between.

The staff was amazing. They were very helpful. They made us feel at home. The owners are very friendly. The shower outside was brilliant. We loved it. Carol made us a nice latte!

What a great place to stay! Marije and Rene created beautiful camp with traditional bungalows, nice dining house and wonderful garden. Bungalows are very basic but clean and equipped with everything needed. Food is absolutely delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful, they do everything to make everyone's stay unforgettable experience. Camp is located just in outskirts of Maun, very close to mokoro station. It's also good starting point for Moremi Game Reserve. I highly recommend this place, Marije and Rene are exeptional hosts!

The only negative is that the mattress was very uncomfortable.

I liked the whole idea of how this was established and the personal interaction with owners. To have an outside shower was great!!!! I loved the cats and chickens that was there because it gave it a homely feel. I would love to visit again!

Size of the Chalets maybe 25 sqm does not compare to description at booking.com (50 sqm)

Very nice B&B. The complete complex is well maintained and nicely decorated. The owners and the staff are very friendly and take care of their guests. Dinner is superb and fair prices as well for drinks. The Chalets are rustic but very clean. We felt very comfortable.

As other guests have mentioned, the huts around the firepit don’t have a lot of privacy unless you keep the door closed, which shuts out the sunlight. If you want to enjoy private outdoor space then I would recommend booking one of the houses with a little porch. The B&B also doesn’t have an airport transport, but if you contact them beforehand they are happy to help arrange a taxi for you. Otherwise, arriving in Maun with nothing pre-arranged can be a little bewildering.

Discovery B&B is a pleasant and comfortable spot and perfect base from which to explore the Delta, or begin your journey further into the area. Conveniently located a 20 min drive from the airport, it nevertheless feels like a plant- and bird-filled oasis, and if this is your first stop it will immediately put you in the holiday spirit. The hut was cool and comfortable. I loved the outdoor shower, the firepit where guests could get to know each other, and absolutely loved Carol’s coffee shop, where you can access wifi and enjoy genuinely good coffee and cake. Carol is a sweetheart too! The honesty bar was very convenient and I was able to buy a bottle of wine when the liquor stores in town were closed. I also enjoyed a delicious and atmospheric traditional dinner with other guests on the porch. My stay was short and sweet, but memorable. Would definitely recommend if you’re passing through Maun!

Maybe a bit dark in the room itself but there is light :)

The staff was very friendly and it was clean and tidy. Marije helped us with arranging a day trip and transport. The communal facilities were very nice, fellow campers sit around the campfire/breakfast or dinner table together and share stories and experiences. We loved the friendly cats as well. The outside shower was nice and the beds big and comfy. You can have dinner (set dinner but 5 different dishes and dessert/tea/coffee and it was very tasty) and there is an honesty bar.
