    Not really good for seniors….

I liked everything, except it was alittle too far from the harbor. But I should have checked that out. I also found the stairs alittle tiring for my husband and myself at 75. But again that is not the inns fault. The room was lovely and we enjoyed having a fire. The tub in our room was also alittle hard for our age, if using the shower. Our hostess gave us a rubber mat to use , I would suggest they just have one in the room so we didn’t have to ask. We loved the breakfast room and the lovely breakfasts.

Only had one breakfast but it was tasty and well presented. Jenny was very helpful in getting us medical help for a minor but disturbing injury. She also saw to it that we got our early morning taxi to the airport and backed it up with her own support taking away any concerns we had.

The breakfasts were outstanding, WAY better than any comparable B&B I've ever been to. Location is great for walking to various areas while still feeling quiet/secluded. Loved the reading room as well.

Beautiful building rich with history and lovely staff. The whole experience truly swept me away from the every day stressors of reality and invited me to take a beat in a Victorian style home that welcomes all into a safe, warm, and cozy environment, perfect for the winter months. The details were everything here, from the stunning rooms, to luxurious bathrobes, to beautiful + tasty breakfast. Everything was done meticulous care. Jenny and Martin were delightful hosts and you could tell that hospitality was at the forefront of their business. Perfect (walkable) location between downtown and the park. Very clean and felt just like home.

The room was very hot and because it’s an old house with radiators you can’t control the room temperature. We just kept windows open even though it was November and cold!

The food was amazing!! Staff were so courteous. We loved the location and staying in an old heritage house was a delight!

The only thing we found was that the room was very warm. It was nice at first on a rainy day, but then a bit too warm. We were able to turn off the bedroom radiator, which helped. (We didn't ask anyone to handle it; I'm sure they would have, as the staff was so helpful.)

The room was lovely, cozy and clean. Breakfast was delicious. The location was great for us -- close to Beacon Hill Park and the walkable area of Cook Street village.

My stay at Beaconsfield B&B was a delightful blend of antique charm, modern comfort, and exceptional

While my stay at Beaconsfield B&B was nearly perfect, if I had to mention something I wish was different, it would be the inability to stay with my 10-year-old son. I longed to share the aesthetic and values of people from a century ago with him in this beautiful place. Beaconsfield seamlessly blends an antique vibe with modern comfort, creating an atmosphere that I wanted to share with my son. Perhaps considering family-friendly options in the future could make this gem even more appealing to a wider audience. Despite this, I still highly recommend Beaconsfield for its charm and impeccable service. 💖

I absolutely loved my stay at Beaconsfield B&B! Right from the start, they generously upgraded my room to a larger one for free, surpassing my expectations. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze. One of the highlights was the charming library where they offered complimentary wine and cookies. While I missed having someone to chat with, the cozy atmosphere added a nice touch to my solo experience. Now, let's talk about breakfast – it was nothing short of perfection! Even if you're not usually one to snap photos of your food, you'll want to capture this culinary masterpiece. The table setting was simply incredible, elevating the dining experience. I also needed an iron for a last-minute meeting, and they promptly provided it, saving the day. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers and can't wait to visit again. 💖

It is a Victorian-era mansion, but it could use a bit of modernization in terms of its interior decor.

    Not much.

Gorgeous historical building. Room was decent size and comfortable (even though we had the smallest of the 7 rooms). Beautiful breakfast room and reading room. The included breakfast was absolutely delicious. Amazing service by the friendly, charming Jenny. Located in a quiet residential area, about a 15-minute walk to the harbourfront.

Overall there was no problem with the mattress, but used to a topper at home, so prefer a softer mattress (and of course, not everyone likes toppers). But don't let this comment change your mind about booking. You will still get a good nights sleep and enjoy the ambience and breakfast.

The staff was very professional and genuinely friendly. They manage the Inn with thoughtful care and regard for their guests, while giving guests privacy and space. The location is perfect because you can walk to the inner harbour with easy access to Market Square and Chinatown and so many amazing restaurants. The building is very authentic. You really feel you are in another era, yet everything is kept up to modern expectations. The breakfast room is bright and airy and the breakfast is tasty. Most mornings fresh berries, like blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and strawberries. May vary by season, but was so appreciated. And the egg dishes included nice touches, like avocado. And in the library, there is always baked goods and sherry. Overall, a great experience.
