Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWe were in a room with a private bathroom that wasn’t connected to our room- it was across the hall. I think we knew that when we booked, but it was a little inconvenient.
This cute boutique hotel has very comfortable beds and nice rooms. The location is excellent- the street it is on is full of great restaurants and it’s an easy walk to lots of attractions. The restaurant below the hotel has great brunch!

CanadaAccess code a bit cumbersome, didn’t work sometimes so had to trek down to the café to get a new code. Shower drains very slowly, needs some maintenance. Stairs required!
Comfortable room equipped with basic amenities. Bathrobes a nice touch. Lacking a few finishing touches such as no seating area to have a take-out meal , no reading light for the second bed. Be aware you need to leave your room and go down the hall to access your private bathroom with coded keypad. Overall quite pleasant. Excellent location, walking distance to many interesting parts of the city. (If you’re a walker!) Nice shops and restaurants on this popular street. The staff were great. Café downstairs very handy for breakfast. We stayed in winter, but there is a lovely and very popular summer terrace.

CanadaI was surprised to discover that the bathroom was not actually attached to my room. It was a private bathroom, but located across the hall from my room, with a separate entrance and lock. So getting up to pee in the night involved going out into the public hall, locking my bedroom door, unlocking the bathroom door (and remembering the code!), and hoping I don't run into anyone in my half-asleep disheveled state. This is a very important detail that is worth a special warning in the room description (not just "This room features a private bathroom outside the bedroom.")
Everything was clean and comfortable.

CanadaAll doors have electronic locks which make a lot of noise every time you open the door. This was particularly annoying in the evening/night when trying to sleep.

GermanyGood and central location of the hotel right above Cafe Krieghoff - which is a really good restaurant, especially for breakfast. Parking can be a little challenging around the neighborhood, but during the weekend you can park for free in the streets.

United StatesWhile I loved that they offered filtered water, it ran out by our first morning and no one had come to replace it in the 48hrs we were there. Check-in was easy once you realized where to find your room number "chambre". The front entrance never seemed to be locked like it said it was.
The hotel was in a great location on a street full of shops and restaurants and it was surprisingly quiet given its location. The room itself was basic, but had everything we needed for a short stay. It was half the price of staying in Old Town which was a fairly easy 15-20 min walk away.

ItalyBeware as not all rooms have direct access to their private bathroom. for some, the bathroom is on the other side of the corridor! Make sure you check if the room you are selecting has direct access, otherwise, it is a pain!!

FranceWould be good to let people assigned to rooms 1 and 3 that their bathroom although private is in a different room across the hall. I arrived in Quebec on a delayed train, at 2am, and was wandering around in the middle of the night - eventually worked it out!
The location, having access to the cafe and shops close by. Very friendly and helpful staff.

CanadaHave to pack luggage up and down a flight of stairs, but staff will help out with that.
Great little boutique hotel with excellent location and staff were super. With restaurant immediately below the hotel it was great but on this same street there were 6 or more restaurants within a block either way. Also lots of other small boutique shops and covenience stores close by. Within 2 blocks of the Plains of Abraham. Close enough to all the bustle of the Old Town area but far enough away there weren't throngs of people around.

United StatesIt was wonderful. No complaints here!
The room/bathroom were very clean and the location was perfect! We went during Winter Carnival and the parade started right down the street from this hotel. We knew it had a private bathroom, we just were not aware the bathroom was down the hall and not in the room. It was our private bathroom, but it is good to note it's not right in the room. Not a problem though! And the restaurant was wonderful! We had a delicious dinner and breakfast there. All the staff were extremely nice and helpful.
