Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I canceled one of 2 rooms before the Sunday 3pm deadline . I texted the # provided and called the front desk to cancel. I get a message before 5pm Sunday stating my cancelation was invalid, due to Booking not confirming cancelation. BS. I want my refund for 1 room put back on my Visa. Thnx

Room was way too hot, even with the heat turned off. Staff said that the hotel had not yet switched from heating to cooling due to the time of the year. Our room was consistently very warm which made sleeping a little uncomfortable especially with a 2 and 4 year old with us. The only solution was to open the door to the outside for 5 to 10 minutes to cool off the room.
Nice common area with a pool and play area for kids.

the first night we stayed there was a very large group in the pool area that trashed it there were plastic cups on the bottom of the pool and stuff scattered all around the pool area and no staff around to control them
hotel staff was friendly, Kelly our housekeeper was amazing with advice on places to eat.

Other guests were very noisy and disruptive of our sleep. There were youth travel hockey teams staying in the hotel and they were loud, screaming during waking hours in the pool area and what I presume were their parents were disruptive and obviously intoxicated, making lots of noises on the way to their rooms around 2am.
The breakfast was quite good, although some of the bacon was burnt. The pool and spa amenities are very nice. The golf simulator is fun and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed air hockey in the arcade.

Old outdated rooms especially washrooms, pool very cold, ring around hot tub very dirty, painted lines in pool and hot tub very sticky not dried and made marks on our skin and smelled like strong paint, even our hair smelled of paint after swimming. Heater in room not working and we had already switched rooms that smelled of smoke.
Set up and layout of pool and room patios a lot of potential, rooms and pool need updated and better upkeep it would be perfect!

During this visit we found the chlorine levels to be quite high! Higher than we noticed in previous visits. Some members of our party found it irritating to the eyes and respiratory system.
We LOVE the courtyard rooms and pool area at the Cairn Croft!! It’s so convenient to have rooms all open up to the pool when travelling with multiple families, as we were!

Love the pool area nice and cozy. The pool bar was a plus, you can have a drink and relax. Arcade was great for the kids. The restaurant has an amazing foods. Great place for family get away, everything you need it’s within the area.

The room we had the toilet wasn’t working we had a guy come in twice for him to fix it after the second time still wasn’t fixed didn’t bother calling down cause it was late so we had to listen to the toilet running the rest of the night

I wish that the restaurant/bar was open around the pool or the vending machines had a better selection of drinks and snacks. Also the crib was not a crib but a pack and play. I wish it stated that in the description. Also the pool change rooms needed a serious cleaning, the floors were gross.
The pool are area is absolutely beautiful and I love how the rooms walk out onto the pool.
