Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNothing, it was perfect.
Exceptional. The room had everything we needed and more, you can tell Luc has really thought of everything and genuinely cares about his guests holiday, even down to the thick toilet paper (not the wafer thin type you get at most hotels!). The town of Field is a fantastic alternative to Lake Louise/Banff/Golden and Luc’s place has everything you need to be comfortable for a short (or long!) stay. 11/10 would recommend.

United StatesWe bought groceries in Canmore, since there is not grocery store in Field. However, we didn't bring condiments / coffee / milk. It's a small, small thing, but it would have been handy to have some olive oil, shelf-stable milk, tea, instant coffee, mayo, that sort of thing.
So clean! Very comfortable. Large! Easy check in. And Luc, the host, went above and beyond, mailing us a forgotten item and also sharing terrific tips for nearby homes.

CanadaWe loved the Canadian Rockies Inn! It was clean, had a well stocked kitchen and very comfortable beds. Luc is very helpful regarding trails and what to see. He loaned us a cooler for our trip to the ice fields , so we could keep our food cool. Luc taught us far more about using and storing bear spray than the sports store who sold it to us. Thanks for everything Luc!

United KingdomThere was nothing to dislike
The location, the cleanliness, the decor. The accommodation was immaculately clean, fully equipped and very comfortable. Luc, the owner, was very friendly and very helpful. Field is great for visiting Lake Louise, Wapta Falls, Emerald Lake and Takkakaw Falls. The area is spectacularly beautiful. There is an excellent information centre in Field too.

Easily accessible, clean, well equipped and comfortable. Luc the owner was very friendly and helpful. Also very knowledgeable about the local area and provided a klaxon, bear spray and advice on how to use these if necessary.

GermanyQuite expensive for what you get but I guess you’re also paying for the location. Quite noisy at night so you will need to close the windows (trains & horns). Only a microwave and no cooking stove (seems like they have removed it).
Great location inside the park, a little shorter to some lakes than if you come from banff directly. You have a lot of space in the apartment and also a fridge to keep your snacks and breakfast cool.

CanadaHonestly, I cannot think of anything! Luc was so kind and made sure that we knew if we needed something to just message him. There wasn't anything we needed. He had pots and pans, spices, extra blankets, a map and a clean duvet, sheets and towels..all ready for us to use as soon as we opened our door to our new "home" for 3 nights 😄
I cannot say enough good things about what an Excellent host that Luc was to my husband and I ☺️. He was very respectful, kind and visited with us to see if we needed anything or had any questions. We wanted to visit with Luc and ask him questions about the area..its Fascinating..such Incredible history 😲😄. The suite had Everything we could possibly need..and more! All of the little extra touches like a timed heater in the bathroom, tiny bottles of lotion and shampoo/conditioner and even had a sweet welcome sign on the door 💜. This place was immaculate, very modern, extremely comfortable and we had the Best time!!! Absolutely we would book here again!!

AustraliaWe absolutely loved our stay at Luc’s Inn. We loved the location in the small town of Field with the amazing restaurant The Truffle Pigs where we ate every night. It was a great location to visit Lake Louise, the Icefields Parkway & obviously Yoho N P. The furniture & bedding was all very comfortable. Luc was a great host with very helpful information. Bear spray was also provided. We highly recommend this accommodation. Thanks Luc

Very spacious and clean accommodation with kitchen/dining facilities and large bathroom. Luc the owner was very helpful and friendly. Close to the information centre which advised about parking and bus shuttle in Lake Louise and the need for a Yoho park pass during our stay. Watched the Rocky Mountaineer train pass by from our window 🤩

United StatesField is a quiet historic railroad town in Yoho National Park. This is was a former jail and police station, the historic and still functioning downtown is a block away. Some of the most delicious food was available at the local restaurant. The owner is kind with his time and advice and checks in to make sure your stay is going well.

AustraliaWe can’t think of a thing!
We loved staying in this bright, roomy and clean 2 bedroom, upstairs apartment. We booked last minute due to an accommodation cancellation in Jasper. Having a kitchen was fantastic for us. It was decorated well and lots of small touches made it a very comfortable stay. The owner, Luc, was very hospitable and informative. Field is a quiet little village about 15-20 minutes drive away from the crowds of Lake Louise. There is no grocery shop in Field but you can easily get supplies in Lake Louise. We ate one night at the local pub - Truffle Pig. Whilst there are lots of perhaps more attractive (from the outside) properties to stay in around this area, this place is a real surprise inside. We used the heater on one cold night and it was lovely. Bedding was very comfortable and all very clean. Having some space and an extra bedroom and access to all we wanted to see ( plus a few bonus attractions) was perfect for us. The nearby falls and the Emerald Lake are must see attractions.
