I purposely called ahead to check on availability of the hot tub and was assured that it was in working order only to arrive and be told that it was "under maintenance". I had told my daughter and grandchildren to bring their bathing suits so that we could have a nice leisurely soak How disappointing for all of us! IIt would have been much kinder to be told in advance.

The room, staff, breakfast , parking and location were all prefect for our needs.

The hotel staff were really friendly, but I was pretty disappointed when I found out the hot tub, which I was excited about, had been out of service for months. Picking the place based on that amenity and not having it really affected my experience.

I was not aware before booking this hotel that it was the main destination for bus tour passengers. This could be an issue for other customers who prefer not to be wakened up at 6:30 am and like a more relaxed breakfast!

I chose this hotel because of it's location close to the marina as we had booked a grizzly bear trip to Bute Inlet. Hotel was comfortable. Self help breakfast was very good. Excellent coffee shop nearby called Freyja, with great pastries.

I would've been happy to rate higher & should be deserving, but experience at Check-out left us sour after a week's stay, because of one person at the desk. We checked out before 11am and the clerk, was insisting we pay for that night as well! Agreement of booking 24hr cancelation before taking the key, not during the stay & with issues with the BC ferries Not Cool!!! I've worked 25yrs in hotels, I know how it works! Thank you to the lady working with the guy, as she stopped this and ensured no charge! But why???

Pillows were hard and windows didn’t open. No air conditioning. Bar needs more decoration.

Ian attending at the bar was exceptionally welcoming. Very experienced. Front desk staff also kind. Fresh flower pots blooming here and there.

I dont know if it was only on our room,but in a very hot July,we expect to have an airconditioned room when we get to the hotel, we didnt have one. What we got was a dyson fan which wasn’t enough. The very reason i didnt gave an all excellent rating.

I liked the location. Easy access to the park,marina and restaurants. Hotel appearance is very presentable from the outside and much more inside. Staffs were great specially those who were in the dining area during free breakfast.

Only complaint was dining room was closed on Sunday night but there was no notification of this anywhere in hotel. We had been on 8 hour tour and went down to eat to find it all in darkness. Front desk apologised and said there were no staff. Ok reason of course but a notice would have been appropriate as we were not the only ones left in this position.

Location was fabulous as we were booked to do Homalco Grizzly Bear trip and boat left right opposite our hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were excellent.

The ceiling in the shower had not been cleaned in a long time, and it needed a good scrub. I did let the front desk know when we checked out as we noticed it after we were settled in for the night. Otherwise, everything else seemed clean enough. I know costs have gone up over the last few years, but I did not find that it was value for money.

The stay was reasonably comfortable, and the staff were nice. The breakfast was very basic but good.

I booked it specifically because it said it has a hot tub only to find out it has been out of service for YEARS. I would have booked somewhere else if I had known.

The tower has no air-conditioning, some things could be updated in the room, like USB plugs. There was a microwave but I had to walk to the other side to use it, but had to make sure my food was not contaminated if someone used it prior as my son has anaphylaxis to wheat or eggs. I understand there may not be enough room in the rooms for individual microwaves but it would be nice to have had one.

The continental breakfast was pretty good. As well as the location. The staff were very friendly. The cleanliness of the rooms was really good.

Breakfast was of below average offering: * No Capsule style coffee - just filtered * Cooked offering - just two heated items - Over cooked and split scrambled eggs - Sausage (unknown type, no labelling ) - No bacon, No Hash, No Beans. * Bread for toast was presented in a plastic bag - with a plastic tong to recover. Only two offerings - white or brown (?). The toaster was a pop-up type, domestic model - no higher specification commercial model available - so multiple people standing around waiting to use the toaster. No 'continental breakfast' style offering - cheese, cured meats, dried fruit.
