Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room was a little tight for two occupants, nonetheless was fairly good. Perhaps the receptionists could be a bit friendlier too.
I booked in Hotel de Paris by recommendation of a local friend. The hotel was very cosy, and it was perfect for our trip plan and budget including breakfast. Its location is great for commuting to the city centre either by bus or underground. Overall, Hotel de Paris is good value for money.

United States of AmericaNothing to clean the dishes with and no napkins or paper towels for the kitchenette.
So quiet and comfortable! And the room had a kitchenette which wasn’t even mentioned and was so nice. Great restaurants nearby and walking distance to so much.

NorwayWe got unlucky and ended up beneath a room with guests doing who knows what—Stomping around for the sake of it? Packing luggage? Working out?—late into the night and early morning, which made it hard to sleep. Wish we’d had earplugs.
Great location, clean room, friendly staff!

CanadaThe heating system made the room way too warm, and we had to open the door/windows to keep it comfortable. There was an air conditioner available but we didn't use it. It is in an old converted home, so anyone with mobility issues wouldn't be able to use the main house. We didn't view the expansion portion, so it might be better to access those rooms. We chose the suite, so it was large, but wondered about the size and comfort of the "regular" rooms and if it would be as comfortable. Maybe next time we will check those out. There was a bit of a step from the door area into the room that tried me up a few times. Watch that. The bathroom needs an area to place your toiletries, but otherwise, it was good.
The king room with the balcony was large and comfortable, and the sitting area was great for lounging. The Italian focused food in the downstairs restaurant was tasty and a great value for the portions. An appetizer, two pasta dishes, and a bottle of wine for $60 tax and tip included. The location was excellent and walking distance to the south end of St. Denis, Latin quarter, and Mont Royal Ave in the plateau.

CanadaIt would have been great to have a fridge in the room. There was a strong smell of air freshener or cleaner (?) especially when I first came In the room. The view out my window was less than desirable (scrap wood and concrete); however, there was a cute, grey squirrel meandering around outside and I enjoyed watching it.:) The toilet paper dispenser was broken and it fell apart upon my first use. Otherwise, I very much enjoyed my stay!
My room was smallish but otherwise well appointed. I appreciated the nice hot water when I had a shower. The room was mostly clean and the sheets were crisp and fresh. The hotel is close to a very funky part of town with lots of great cafes, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. The staff was courteous and friendly.

BelgiumGreat breakfast but the breakfast room needs a facelift to make it a breakfast room and not some shady nineties resto-dance bar or so: open the curtains and let the light come in!
We booked a room last minute and even got a bigger one at the front. Near the lobby but that didn't give any noise or problems. Great view and old cosy porch looking over Montreal. A bit busy street but does not bother once inside. Very friendly staff, a bit overworked though.

OmanIt's nothing like the pictures online, tiny rooms, noisy rattling AC and quite dilapidated. The queen bed in my room was tiny. Okay for one person but no way for 2. It is a beautiful building and a great location but needs a lot of work to update it.
The location is great, the building architecturally speaking from the outside is beautiful. The lobby area is pretty. They provided a decent breakfast of coffee, eggs, bagels, fruit and juice. The breakfast room needs a lot of renovations.

United KingdomThe room was too small, the bed attached the wall, and a bathroom sink was in the corner. We booked the budget one double bed room, but in the pictures on the website, it doesn't show the room we stayed in. We were really disappointed. The walls in the hotel are really thin, you can hear everything from the corridor and others room.

United States of AmericaOur room was very close to the lobby and in the hallway to go to the restaurant: it was quite noisy with all the people checking in and out and going to the restaurant. The room was clean but could use a deep cleaning (sink hole was dirty,…)
The location of the hotel is great and the house is beautifully decorated in the common areas. The breakfast buffet offers diverse options.
