To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

CanadaThe doors to the rooms are very noisy, however, we did understand that they are "everything" proof doors when it comes to fire and safety, which makes for a very heavy door on the open and close.
It was exactly what we needed for a few nights stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The temperature in the room was perfect our whole stay. Having - what I assume to be - a newly renovated bathtub/shower was very nice, especially when you know how many people have previously used it at any shared property.

CanadaVery noisy room, there is tons of white noise from machines, squeaky doors, and the street as it is a downtown location. There are no fans in bathroom and no way to vent the bathroom, so simply the bathroom smell fills the whole room, very dim lights as intentionally to not judge cleanliness, very poor breakfast, when I asked for drinking water in the morning, they didn't have drinking water in breakfast, I can easily day one of my worst experiences ever
The only thing you might like about this hotel is the location, right next to everything and access to all you might need during your travel, the pizza place next door is so good, hotel itself, there is nothing to like at all.

CanadaMy room was dirty. Bathroom floor had pee on it from the previous guest. Carpet had not been vacuumed either. I went down to talk to the Front desk and she said the housekeeper did not clean my room and she had to do it. Asked me "what do you want me to do?" and stared blankly at me. I ended up asking for some cleaning products so I could do it myself. She assured me that the sheets had been changed... But who really knows. UPDATE I spoke to the manager when I was checking out and she was shocked that the cleanliness was not addressed properly the night before. She was extremely apologetic and gave me a huge discount. Based on the other reviews I think this was a unique situation and I would likely give them another chance in the future.
Location was ideal for me and management was very responsive to the situation.
