Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The only issue we really experienced was the jacuzzi did not work. The water took (literally) almost 45mins just to fill due to the water pressure in the jacuzzi. Then when the water finally reached the sensors, we kept pressing the buttons to turn on the jet system but it did not work. So that was a bummer. We didn't bother notifying the hotel staff as it was too late at night. Also the location of the hotel, I wasn't a huge fan of. I was hoping to be more closer (walking distance) of more attractions. Weather wasn't great to be walking far so we had drive to where we wanted to go.
The hotel itself was really nice. I mostly enjoyed the buffer breakfast included. Lots of options and tasted fresh and amazing. Front staff were very friendly and accommodating to us. No Hassel with check in/out. Room was spacious and very clean and tidy.

Great location for the old port area of Montreal. Good price, clean, although breakfast area was not big enough for number of people staying there. Pillows and bed were not the best…okay though.

Only thing we didn’t like was the pull out couch, very uncomfortable and had a weird incline so had to sleep horizontally vs vertically
Location was perfect and the room was clean. Staff was also super friendly and the breakfast was delicious!

The toilet had minor issues when it come to flushing. The carpet can be replaced.the fireplace frame can be fixed.
The deluxe kings room was over all very nice. It is pretty old. The jacuzzi and the shower was perfect. Breakfast was pretty good, better than many restaurants. Breakfast crew was very friendly and attentive to all the needs.

The Room is little like a really little old. My everything was really good.
The staff was really good the location it's really in the old city you can see everything from there and you can reach by walk to most of the old sites.

It needs some love. Walls, carpets, furniture looking ragged. And it had the smallest shower stall I have ever used! Huge bathroom and soaker tub so it was strange to have such a difficult to use small shower stall. The restaurant in the hotel is nice to have but more staff are needed.
Excellent location. Front desk staff very helpful. Comfy beds and nice having a door between bedroom and living room.

No construction all around. We understand that is beyond the hotels control.
Breakfast was very good. Loved the omelette choice. The staff were helpful. I liked the apple available at reception. Parking was convenient.
