Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaRoom decor could use a refresh. No breakfast was included.
Location was great, I had a view of Perce Rock right from my window. The rooms are definitely dated and could use a refresh but the room was clean and bed was pretty comfortable.

Prime location, 30 second walk to the beach. I had a view of the sea, and the back of Perce Rock from my room which I wasn't expecting.

CanadaThere was excellent desk for the laptop, but no outlet to plug it in. There actually was one, but under the TV hanging on the wall.
It is basic motel, clean and comfortable with parking in front of your door. Location is near to everything in this small village. Coffee machine was provided, but coffee and tea not, so it has to be bought at the office.

CanadaRoom was small. Had two beds which were too small and left no space in the room. Bathroom also small and cramped. No comfortable chairs. Things like toiletries and patio furniture were there.....but only the most basic.
Excellent location. Very clean. Efficient check in. Provided everything advertised.

CanadaWe stayed in a Motel room. No coffee maker or access to coffee on site. When I checked in, the owner said to come back for coffee in the morning. The written materials say the same. When I came for coffee she said all she had was coffee packets for sale but then looking disappointed said “oh but you don’t have a room with a coffee maker”. Poor communication on that front. Maybe it’s different in the high season. We were here at the beginning of October.
This place is located right by The Rock and is within walking distance of groceries, restaurants and lots of shopping. Most of all, after going down a set of steps To the beach, you are at sea level with The Rock and from there, at low tide, you can scramble over the rocks to be on the ocean floor looking up at this spectacular chunk of geological history.

CanadaThe bathroom was tiny. We kept banging ourselves on shelves, the vanity, and the toilet! The bathroom could use some updated fixtures and shelves that are in better locations on the walls to optimize the small space. For example: when using the sink you could easily bump your head on the shelf above it if you weren’t careful. The soap tray location was also in an bad spot and you could easily bump your head. Having said that, the bedroom itself had some updates that made that room nice. We also found you had to run the hot water tap for a bit before it got warm. Once it did get warm there was plenty of hot water and decent water pressure. For a budget-friendly stay we could easily overlook the things we didn’t like and we would stay there again!
The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She left fresh, local flowers in our room as requested for our anniversary. The room was clean. We had our own bathroom. The room also had a mini fridge, microwave, table and chairs, and a small tv. It had a ceiling fan and 2 windows at the front, and one in the bathroom that could be opened for fresh air. We had our own porch with chairs outside our front door. We had our own parking spot in front of our room. The property was clean and well maintained. It also had a picnic table and large grassy area that all guests could use. You could see the ocean from the grassy area. The location of the hotel was perfect! You could take a short walk down the side street to the stone beach that had a beautiful side view of Perce rock. It was a 10 minute walk up to Mont-Jolie to have another spectacular view of the rock and the town. It was another fairly short walk to the boardwalk, restaurants, and shops in town. We left the car parked at the hotel and walked everywhere!

CanadaFantastic location, views of the ocean and Perce Rock. Walkable to everything in town. Clean. It's clearly not a four star hotel, so manage expectations. It's a well maintained roadside motel which was built in the mid 1900's.
