Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Place was being renovated so there was a bit of a mess about the place, vending machines had been taken out, Indoor pool was quite cold for being inside a hotel. Pillows were very meh. Shower drained slowly.
Staff was excellent, had a minor issue with the toilet and fixed it before we got back to our room from the pool. Location was close to everything on our plans for the weekend. Once again want to state the staff went above and beyond,

Pool also because very dangerous for our kids when hockey team of young boys took it over running around using the slides incorrectly and pushing my toddler down the stairs. Staff were fast to come tell a hockey parent not to have open alcohol but did not care about the dangerous situation taking place.

The plumbing wasn't the greatest. When you flush the toilet you can hear gurgling coming from the tub. I half expected to see sewage come up. It did not but it was very eery.
The beds were comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast.

extremely icy parking lot parts of hotel not functional no covered parking accessible vending machines not operable front staff at check in was frazzled front staff at check out seemed annoyed **hotel guests yelling and screaming in the halls until 11pm…drinking and socializing in chairs outside the elevator - very uncomfortable

Our room was on the 7th floor, however there was a long walk via corridoors to the lift situated at one corner of the main lobby floor. Next time I would have preferred to stay on a lower floor, with lift closer to the lobby.

We came in late and there were issues with the keys not working and we were really tired These issues kept us running back and forth from the desk to the room several times We finally asked for a different room and were given 3 keys (not sure why 3 keys as there were only 2 of us) Only one of these 3 keys worked We had to get up early and check out before 6 am to be on time to catch a flight departing at 8 am but breakfast didn't start until 6:30 so we were disappointed we couldn't take advantage of the breakfast When checking out we asked for the receipt but were told they couldn't give us one as booking.com was going to email us the receipt I was shocked the hotel wouldn't give us a receipt and told them that's a first for us that a hotel would not give us a receipt So far we did not get a receipt from booking.com
The hotel is good and the bed is very comfortable

Beware...water slides are NOT working and hot tub jets don't work. Pool was colder than I expected so I didn't use it. Reception staff were average. Heater/AC unit's fan was a bit loud. Breakfast was decent.
Bed was comfortable and microwave and refrigerator worked. Kitchen staff were helpful. Free parking.

There was no botteled water, vending machine that is working is only main lobby for water bottle, or any other drinks and snacks.
Clean, easy to book, no damage fee, very quiet. Close to the mall and other places. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast.

As mentioned the cleaners missed something and the staff could of been more lively.
Hi. The room had a jacuzzi and was a large room which I didn't expect. The cleaner missed something on the wall in the washroom, but the rest of the room was very clean. Staff were a little in the dull drums but otherwise were okay. Location was perfect with all the shopping facilities in walking distance. The breakfast was great with eggs and sausage patties.

This time the water slides weren’t working which is the only reason we come to this hotel for our Staycation. The kids love the slides and we love the hot tub but the jets were not working in the hot tub either which was disappointing. When mentioning our disappointment the fellow at the desk seemed annoyed and didn’t really have anything to say about it.

The young guy at check in was coughing he wasn’t well and wearing a sweatshirt, I think because he was sick.
The room was comfy. But the temperature wasn’t comfortable. Breakfast was very simple. Think it’s slightly unorganized as people coming in weren’t sure where to start. There needs to be another toaster.
