The property is behind other buildings blocking the sea view. The carpet was old and had stains. Our tub was great, fits 2 out the Jets did not work and there was a huge crack in the middle.

It was well located close to several restaurants and the water. The balcony was nice, the property and surrounding area was very well maintained and clean.

The included breakfast was OK but not great. Not many choices in Cheticamp, so in this regard, the location was great. First room they put us in was terrible, piece of the door fell off on entering and curtain over main window was hanging on by a few hooks. Switched us to a much better room. All in all a good place to stay for touring Cape Breton Highland National Park the next day. For the price and the free breakfast it was a good place, just not great compared to other places we stayed in Nova Scotia.

Motel is ideally situated for the National Park and the Doryman pub was just a short walk away. Motel is a little tired looking, but clean and comfortable. The on site launderette was a bonus

Drapes that didn't hang properly covering the windows as drapes should. TV had no working channels and no written help how to try to get it to work. Would have been very willing to be able to order a sit down breakfast

Outside rails to get up to second level were not very sturdy. Felt this was a safety issue. The buffet breakfast was just okay. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We had been booked for the second floor but when I asked if we could be moved to the ground floor the front desk attendant was very kind and accommodating. It was very clean and comfortable. The morning breakfast was enough to get us off to a great start for the day.

We rented two rooms. One for me and my mother and the other for my three teenage children. We were placed side-by-side at my request, which was great, but as far as you can get from the dining area where they serve breakfast. It was two buildings over downhill. I had made clear I was traveling with my elderly mother, who is in a wheelchair, so it seemed not terribly thoughtful to put us in rooms so far from where breakfast was served. Also, breakfast is served quite early, and I wanted to let my 89 year old mother sleep in. She usually only has tea and toast in the morning, so she opted to stay in bed, and we said we would bring her back some tea. When we got to the dining room, they asked where the 5th member of our party was. I explained that she was 89 and sleeping in, so I would just bring her back some tea. The woman at the dining room quite abruptly made clear that I couldn't take food from the dining room back to another guest, and if I wanted to take my mom tea, they would have to charge me for it. We never did take back tea. We went out for tea with mom afterward. After spending over $500 on two rooms for one night's stay, charging for one cup of tea for an elderly woman who needed to sleep in seemed in pretty poor taste. We wouldn't stay again.

The rooms were very large and excellent for my mother, who has reduced mobility. She could use her walker throughout the entire room, which was a tremendous benefit. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were very clean. The addition of a small fridge was also very convenient, and had it been warmer, I could see the air conditioner unit being very useful.

Comforter was too heavy and the windows should have had sheers on them to obstruct view from people walking past them - buffet was nothing special.

The breakfast was horrible. They had burnt tasting coffee, watery juice, cold hot stuff, limited variety, and low quality food in general. The staff didn't seem to care that they did not have maple syrup. They said it was too expensive. They were 4 light bulbs not working and the bathroom mat was dirty. They came to clean the room and replaced only the towels and made the beds, but did not refresh our shampoo and soap. The soap did not even lather anyway.

Great location, great view, free parking.
