Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

If we had been spending more time we would want to have had an extra chair.
This property was perfect for our needs, close to streets with lots of restaurants coffee shops, and shopping. We were able to walk to sights we wanted to see. The room was lovely. We really didn’t spend a lot of time in room as we had only three days in beautiful Quebec City.

Convenient location, friendly staff and cozy room! Our flight was delayed and the hotel emailed us to arrange late check-in. Very clear and impressive! Highly recommended.

Lighting in the room was quite dim. There were sort of strange spotlights on the headboard. Bathroom rather cramped.

The cost was high. Everything about the hotel was great. I get that everything is costing more these days just wish it wasn't so expensive after taxes etc.
The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hotel and room were clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. The location was convenient. All around a great little hotel.

It is a little souless and for the price lacking in minor detail (e.g. it would have been nice to have a bottle of water in the room). Although soundproofed, the was traffic noise in the night. There is no place to have breakfast on the premises.
the hotel is well situated in the old port. There is a small amount of street noise as it is adjacent to a fairly busy junction. It is extremely easy to walk from it to visit the historic centre of Quebec and there are abundant good restaurants (and an excellent cafe for breakfast) nearby. Parking was extremely easy in the private adjacent car park for $20 a day.

Small boutique hotel located within short walk of the old city, attractions and restaurants. Parking could be challenging, but there is a municipal parking lot located just opposite the hotel where you can park overnight (for a fee).

It would have been great if we could have opted for breakfast in the morning.
The hotel is located in a very good area, quite close to the train station and not far from the city center/old town. You are also within walking distance to the port, so it's a nice place for an evening walk. The staff at the reception was very nice, the room had a good size and the bathroom much bigger that we expected (also had a bathtub). You also have a coffee machine in the room, a fridge. Very close from the hotel you have a cat coffee shop, very interesting concept and lovely felines.

Mostly what could be improved is the size of area for clothes and coffee maker. It was also quite dark in this area. It would be great if some additional light is installed there.
The location near the centre of the Old City was excellent. Room was good but not much space for clothes. Bathroom was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can recommend this hotel.

The room and bathroom were small and quite cramped. The taxes and other fees were more than we had expected.
Terrific location and the price was very reasonable compared to the other hotels we checked out. We arrived quite early in the morning from our cruise ship, and the hotel took care of our luggage. And then they notified us at 10:30 a.m. that our room was ready, instead of making us wait until after 3 p.m.
