Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaHaving shower gel and hand soap instead of multiple small pieces of soap would have been much more convenient.
I paid an additional fee for parking on the property which made the stay more convenient. The location is great: easy to walk to the historical center and many bars and restaurants nearby.

United States of AmericaI reserved a parking spot however the first night when arriving, other customers occupied the parking spaces who had not reserved them. Unfortunately, the staff weren't able to identify or contact the customers to move their cars the same night and instead could only recommend the closest parking lot, which wasn't a far walk.
Easy to check in and the staff was accessible during their posted hours. Frequent communication was a huge help.

CanadaThere was no door mat or something else to put your boots. It's winter in QC and having the snow melting in your room is not great.
The location was great. It's in walking distance to the X-Mas market and the Old Town.

United States of AmericaBack door lock wouldn’t work (FIX IT!!!), desk light socket broken, no directions for air system, torn curtain, poorly decorated, toilet not secured to floor so it banged when you got up!, no proper shelf or room for toiletries, front railing and stairs need to be renovated and cleaned, wicker chairs clumped together ( which we put out with tables), maintenance man needs better moving as it only looked like he’d rushed over lawn, sterile feel. We’ve stayed several times in past but had Sharon as Concierge so it was pleasant with coffee and immediate help for any problem. Not sure I’d stay again without improvements!!sadly gone downhill!!!!!
Location, large room, comfortable beds and pillows, updated bath, plentiful towels, pleasant maid, quick email response.

United KingdomPeersonally I don't like self check in hotels with no staff available for advice. No breakfast facilities although there is a kitchen to make your own. There were one or two problems, for example the code key on the main door didn't work and if you arrive late at night this could cause a problem.
Nice hotel with good sized rooms, two kitchen areas, not far from the historic old town near the Plains of Abraham. Easy to find with 3 parking places if needed although coming via train makes it easier. Good value for money.

Lovely place with a central position, 20 min from the city centre on foot. Right next to the Plains of Abraham. We had a problem with the room and the staff was nice and efficient to find another location for us.

IsraelWhen we made the reservations, we were motivated by the excellent reviews on the staff. Since then, the place became a self service hotel, without reducing the fee. There was no one to talk to during the entire stay. It id impossible to open a window and there is no air.
Great location, near a beautiful park and walking distance to the old city. Clean and comfortable

SwitzerlandThe hotel is autonomous without any staff. The promoted 24-hour front desk support is ambiguous and should reflect that the support is via a phone call. It was not very obvious while booking the hotel (i.e., atleast to me). Do come prepare to have a working phone connection to make a call as we had to make couple of them as the passcode for our door did not work. Second, please be prepared to check in only after 4 pm. Not even a single minute before can you enter your room.
The help desk on PHONE was very accommodating to the request. We had an issue, and the front desk person promptly shifted us to a new room, which felt like an upgrade of room. The hotel is 11 minutes walk to the old town and also close to a bus stop wherein you can take Bus 800. A small pantry with oven, fridge, and microwave exist which was handy to warm take-away food.

United KingdomBeing in a room on the second floor with no lift. There being no staff on site . Confusion over which lock system we were meant to use to enter the building, not clear in the instructions.

CanadaThe website is very vague on how this is a self-serve hotel. You use an access code to get into the main house and then that access code Also gives you access your room. There is no housekeeping while you stay there. But there are amenities available to you at different locations in the manner. Example, a place to pick up your toiletries, and there’s a community kitchen and eating areas in the basement. We travelled with another couple who had room 312, they had a leaky air conditioning units and a toilet that rock back-and-forth. It was very difficult to get anyone to come service this because there is no one in the establishment and everything Hass to be done over the phone. Room 312 was exceptionally tiny. They should detail this in their website as low headroom and may be square footage and assign room numbers to their photos so you know what you’re getting. I mentioned this because every room in that manner is different it’s not like a hotel we’re all rooms are similar. In addition to the coffee provided it would have been nice to have packages of tea available also. NOTE. This establishment is multi floors and has no elevator. There are only stairs.
The location was fantastic. It was so close to the Grand Allée, main promenade of restaurants. And the plains of Abraham and the Saint Joan of arc gardens. Our room, #101, was very spacious with a vintage classic vibe. The sitting area right next to the window, looking out on the main roadway, and into downtown is a nice feature. The bathroom was exceptional. The inclusion of the Nespresso machine and coffee pods were an upscale touch. If you do not want the corporate feel of a hotel, this is the place with its eclectic vintage vibe! It fits right in with the old Quebec feel. It is very quaint and very romantic. We would stay there again now that we know better how they run the business. The AC unit worked perfectly.

CanadaThe instructions to get entry into the hotel was a little unclear. We also had problems opening the door of the room. Two years ago, when we stayed there, a gentleman was at reception. Although he was not there full time, we still saw him at a certain time in the day and we could get help for whatever issues we had. There was a personal touch. Now, it is a 100 percent self-serve facility. No staff is put there. It is my personal preference to see someone at reception, even if it is part time.
The place is clean and tidy. The room is spacious. It is at a good location. All necessary in-room items are there.
