The location is a bit odd. I chose this place because it was close to the conference venue and I planned to commute by metro. However, the short walk from the station to the hotel was unsettling. The area is completely dark, so I had to use Uber every day. The breakfast is similar to what you would find in hostels.

Breakfast seemed to be bare minimum. The no-name yogurts, kind of set the tone. That said, I understand the breakfast is free and it’s important to keep costs in check. But since you asked, this is what I would say. The location was very good. The meeting I was attending, however, the general area and configuration of the building in relation to the parking just feels sketchy.

The hotel is good but the quality of the breakfast could be improved. Actually, after staying the first night and getting to the breakfast room, you get disappointed. I think the hotel has at least 100 rooms and there are only 5 tables to seat and eat something. It is very crowded and noisy because of the echo from the solid surfaces everywhere. If you come as a tourist and want to go to downtown and walk, you need to eat again for sure. Looks like the space was improvised to be a very small restaurant. I would pay 10-15 dollars more and have a continental breakfast.

The bedroom is big and comfortable and the living room has a lot of space in case you need to concentrate and do something. Washroom and bathtub were clean and neat, there is a hair dryer and all the toiletries you need. Very good shower and hot water as soon as you open the tap. Windows are very good and no noise comes from the road. Bedsheets and towels were pristine blank and the mattress is very comfortable. Bus stop to Sheppard West metro station is just at the other side of the street and it barely takes 5min to get there. From the station to downtown (Union) it takes about 35min.

Beds were not comfortable, sheets scratchy. We were on 5th floor (521) and mechanicals on rooftop were loud. Breakfast unremarkable.

Hotel gave the impression of being old and tired although clean. Felt like the sheets could be renewed, they were clean but a bit worn looking. Beds a bit creaky Breakfast was a bit manic. As soon as food was replenished some people gathered it up, some clearing the dishes and took it away with them! Can’t understand people behaving like that. Nothing or very little left for other customers.

Hotel was clean and staff very helpful. Easy access to subway and only half an hour train ride into downtown Toronto. WiFi was good. Local Coffee Shop was a bonus.

The hotel did not have a fridge or anything else In the room. The tv was so small it might as well been non existing. Not close to amenities and the food at the hotel was bad.
