1/2 of the rooms look out into the entry way car park area. Our room faced right onto the reception drive in. More like a motel, than a nicer hotel, albeit mine was the only room on this side that boasted a balcony No kettle available, fridge kept turning off

Spa was good. Free parking ( or at least included in daily fees for spa , parking and such)

For the value, it was good.

The free spa and gaming room, plus camp fire. The location is great and it is worth booking a room with a view.

This was my first stay at this hotel and I really enjoyed it! Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-organized. The staff was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. My only regret is that I only stayed for one night and didn’t book a room with a view of the river — something I’ll definitely do next time!

Beds weren't the most comfortable. The spa was a bit unusual in that you could only enter through one door and only exit through the other, then had to walk all the way around to drop your dirty towel. There was limited parking as the hotel was busy.

Really nice spa facilities. Spacious room. Nice views. Staff were all nice, pleasant and helpful.

Hotel was extremely anxious to get my credit card information ahead of our arrival. They phoned me several times, but since I don't give out that information over the phone, they had to wait for it until I arrived at the hotel. It was the first thing they wanted once I arrived. I understand them wanting to block a damage amount, but the repeated phone calls were irritating.

    It was clean and comfortable

We were kicked out of the hotel bar - not in a nice way. We were not allowed, even without drinking alcohol - to sit with our young daughter. Never happened during our trip in Canada or anywhere else. I just wished we had explanation, law, policy.

No problems at this property at all.

The location was absolutely beautiful. Our room had a balcony with a full view of the St. Lawrence River. We had a spa tub, a fireplace and a balcony. Also there was a shuttle between our pavilion and the upper that took us back and forth to the restaurant. Also a small kitchenette that was fully furnished.

Quite surprised with the whole area. We had never been up that way before and wanted to see the Fairmount. The casino hotel is right beside it. It was a beautiful place, clean, nice big room and comfy beds. Casino was much bigger than we expected. The lady at the desk who checked us in, did her very best to explain everything to us in English, which is all one can ever ask. Next time we will plan for golf at the beautiful course and book a room with the balcony overlooking the water.

A Nice-Enough Hotel With a Great Location — But Overpriced
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple

    • Stayed 4 nights

No microwave oven in the room; very surprising in this day and age, espcailly so in a hotel charging over $300 (CDN) per night. We found a small microwave near the Coke machine, to be used by guest on the entire floor. Not practical. The small refrigerature never did its job. It should be serviced or replaced. Over four days it never chilled our soft drinks, beer, or food. Another small anoyance, but small annoyances add up. Don't forget to ask for a discount coupon to be used in the hotel restaurant. We knew about it because of an email; the clerk at the front desk never mentioned it. From a distance the intereior Spa looks terrific, but when you use it, it's less impressive. It's age shows, and it's a very humid and less inviting space than what the pictures lead you to believe, so much so we stayed for 15-20 minutes, max. A few straight-back chairs placed along the parnoramic window would help make your stay more comfortable, expecially for avid readers who don't like to read lying down. One last comment: most of the exercise equipment is dated, but it is usable. Bring your own water; the hotel/gym water doesn't taste great.

Great view of the Saint Lawrence River if you book a room in the front of the hotel. The balcony makes all the difference. The location is perect, espcially for people going to the casino. It was also nice and quiet, We were there in the beginning of September for 4 days. The cleaning staff do a wonderful job. They're also helpful and friendly.

Brief check in hiccup - was told our room was not ready even though we arrived after check in window starts. After 15 min someone else helped us and got us into our room (I think the first staff was training).

The pool/spa area was fantastic to use. Large spacious room. Comfortable.

A little bit of machinery or may be central AC noise during the night. The 2nd night I used earplugs and everything went well!

The location is great, with a nice view over the St-Lawrence river. The casino and the Fairmont Manoir Richelieu golf course are 2mn away. The Quartz spa is very nice and the town is 5 to 10mn away by car.
