Pillows not great. Generally you have one soft and one firm to choose from they were both too firm but that is more personal preference than requirement

Room was lovely and spacious, bed was comfortable, amenities very nice

The cleanliness is f the main dinning room. If you look around there is a layer on dusk ( over you and food) that was on everything over 10 ft high. The majority of the staff doesn’t arrive until 7 am so the coffee in lobby was not available until almost 745 and we ordered room service the night before ( and I confirmed the room and they repeated it bank) never arrived. After 45 min late we cancelled the order because we had to leave. For such a lovely place, the bathroom in the dining room was a disaster with patched holes in wall exposed, paint chipping, not the cleanest. The ceiling in the room was also pealing.

Majority of the staff were overly helpful. The female staff in bar were very curt with guests. The food in main restaurant was amazing. The spa was great, deep tissue massage, hot springs, and one indoor pool with hot tub and one outdoor pool heated very warm. Most staff feel like they were well trained in the “ritz Carlton” service where if they see something wasn’t right, they have the authority to fix it without going up to management. Other than the bar, all staff were amazing and went above and beyond.

I had problems with the bath tub -- the mechanism was stiff for my arthritic fingers and I never really figured out how the plug worked.

Comfortable and well-lit chair for reading. Most hotel rooms skimp on this. The bed and working desk were very good. I didn't make use of the spa or pool.

Quite expensive. Lack of meal plan option through booking.com. May try to reserve directly with hotel next time. Smell of chlorine in the hallways.

Cannery Restaurant wonderful staff, ambiance and food. Was amazed that I reserved a Superior Queen room but was given an upgrade to a Deluxe room with a fireplace. Did Booking.com do that?

The pool and spa area, especially the showers need an upgrade. Unrepaired water damages, very used and old style. Hotel was still decorated for Christmas on January 17th.

Pet friendly room was nice, a little tight with gas fireplace, washroom dated and small. Parking was close and so was the walk to Pool and Spa through snow

The spa booking is a bit ambiguous. I initially thought the booking will grant us exclusive useage of the small hot spring. In the end they allowed up to 10 ppl booking for the same time, which make the pool extremely crowded.

The outdoor pool and jacuzzi next to the indoor pool are not crowded and are very enjoyable to use. The vibe in the lobby is great. The hotel actually have an additional parking lot at back of one of the building which allows direct access to the rooms, so one doesn't have to struggle to looking for parking space in the lots in front which is rather limited in space.

I personally was not a fan of the New Years bruch. I much prefer the regular menu.

Christmas decorations were still in full effect. Cozy and comfortable rooms, and the outdoor pool was awesome! It's not crowded, so you really get to enjoy the property. Hubby did reflexology, and it was the best.

The service in the wine bar was terrible to start. The server for our area completely ignored us. We waited almost half an hour before we could get someone else’s attention and then she disappeared so we had to flag yet another server. Thankfully she took care of us. The hotel is remote, otherwise we would have gone somewhere else.

Beautiful hotel, spa was very nice as was the main restaurant.

This time our robes weren't in our room waiting for us like our previous visit but they were quickly delivered upon our request. Housekeeping overall was a bit inconsistent this time (empty tissue box that wasn't topped up, no spare toilet paper roll, the bath mat was removed for laundering without a replacement, the coffee cream/stir sticks weren't restocked, and only two towels were provided for three people so we had to make a few calls to housekeeping for replenishments over the course of our stay). Nevertheless, response was swift and no complaints in general.

Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Pillar and Post and it was beautifully decorated for the holidays. It was a bit more crowded than the last time we visited at the end of the summer so the pool was nearly always busy. The Cannery was excellent (tried for the first time) and Vintages was cozy and delicious as well. The staff were welcoming and the shuttle service to and from town was appreciated. The room service we ordered for breakfast was quick and wonderful and, as always, we love the plush robes and slippers. The roses on the pillow at night remain a nice touch! The weather, unfortunately, was mostly drizzly and not much for outdoor exploration of the grounds. However, there was a small break in the weather on our last night and we managed to check out the ice rink, fire pits (nice and toasty!), and the lovely light displays. It was a delight, both inside and outside the hotel. We would love to come back!

There was a misunderstanding with the breakfast fee at the hotel, but the hotel made amends with that part. I would eat breakfast somewhere else next time though, because I personally do not think its worth that cost. I loved everything else about this hotel.

It is a beautiful hotel, with a wonderful staff. My family had such a joyful time at Pillar and Post. Although the hotel was more crowded than I would have liked, I could not even notice that when I was in the room. It was quiet and I loved the outdoor access room on the second floor due to its high ceiling. The garden and the pool was a definite plus for the kids as well. We would love to return.

you have been in operation for a long time. I think you could afford to put in at least 1 more elevator to access more rooms. My sister was hosting a wedding and did not get the room she requested or was told she would get when they booked the wedding. The elevator is my main complaint or th option of more valet help.
