The shower and tub is a little outdated.

The property is right on the strip for Niagara on the lake for walking. Gorgeous vintage hotel.

We were not told at reception that our room 273 was the farthest area of the hotel. Also there were no directions in the hotel where our room was. Ended up going outside to get to our area. Twice the key pad on the outside did not work. Lucky there was cleaning staff inside that helped us in.

The location was absolutely the best. We did not eat breakfast there, we did enjoy the bar area Friday night and had a night cap at the bar Sat evening

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. Niagara on the lake is majestic: peaceful, lovely, walkable.

The phone in the room didn't work...hence the presence of the concierge! He let me use the hotel desk phone as long as I needed, and was very understanding of my plight. Then he made excellent suggestions for a late meal, right at the hotel restaurant: a fish and chips special that was such a great value and they stayed open late.

The Concierge at this hotel went ABOVE AND BEYOND for this solo female traveler. I found myself without phone service unexpectedly and was panicking, and he helped me out SOSOSO much. I will be ever grateful!

    Nothing

We had a king suite. It was great. Quiet, accessible, big. Decor was great and fit the hotel. Staff was responsive. They have a virtual concierge so all one needed to do was text if you needed anything. Couldn’t have been a better stay.

The room was definitely on the smaller size and the décor in that specific room felt a little shabby and somewhat thrown together. The room was not as clean as it should have been. There were a few pieces of garbage left on the floor under the chair and table when we checked in, which gives the feeling that the room had not been properly vacuumed. The washroom did feel clean, but for the price, I think it's fair to expect a bit better/more from the room. We had a pretty poor experience at the the Churchill Lounge. The staff member who served us was not friendly or attentive. When we arrived, we asked her if we could have a table for two and she completely ignored us. Once we were seated, it felt as if we were a bother to her just by being there for a drink. We recognize the challenges of a busy pub, but it was not a pleasant experience. On the plus side, the live music in the lounge was really lovely.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful - the front desk, the manager, the concierge, and the cleaners were all very very pleasant. I really want to shoutout the manager specifically, We were there to celebrate an anniversary, and she made it feel very special. The location is excellent and the hotel itself beautiful.

The heating unit in our room apparently needed some maintenance as it was noisy when running. We made a simple request for a room location which the hotel refused to accommodate since we booked on booking.com.

Very pleasant stay in this historic building in a perfect location to explore the town. Clean and comfortable room, wonderful staff, easy parking right behind the hotel.

Unfortunately, it was a little difficult to experience the Winston Churhill Bar, even as a guest in the hotel. I would have made a reservation upon check-in if I had been recommended to do so.

This is the 4th Vintage Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake that my husband and I visited. It was the best hotel so far in terms of romantic atmosphere and location. We love being able to hear the bells chime from our room and easily walk into town to shop without being in the center of it. The best part of Prince of Wales rooms is their bathtub size in the bedroom. Perfect size for myself and my husband. I also loved the added touch of having oranges in the bedroom and soft jazz music playing when we return to the room in the evening.
