Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe bathroom was extremely small. I am a very small person and I can't imagine what it must feel like for a larger individual. No elevator.
Great location and superb view from the room. The rooms are small but nicely decorated with access to a balcony. Very clean.

CanadaSomehow, when setting up my hotels for this trip, I had missed the fact that there is no elevator and we were given a room on the 3rd floor (the hotel was full, so no chance of switching). This was not good for me as I have health issues and found it slow and difficult to use the stairs - once I finally made it up there, I didn't come down until the next day. Luckily we brought some food with us, so we didn't have to go out. I was disappointed with the lack of shelf space in the bathroom, and was also a bit nervous about the two multi-extender electrical outlets that were in the room to accommodate today's electrical needs...the outlets just seemed "overwhelmed" with plugs and cords. I even unplugged some things that I wasn't using in order to charge my phone and my ipad, I was that nervous. Also, there was no outlet by the bed so I couldn't use my CPAP machine.
The bed was the most comfortable of all the beds we used during our 8-day Gaspe trip (too bad it wasn't a king, though). The room was neat and clean, and we had a lovely view of the water from our window. It's an older structure with an old-world kind of feel to it.

United KingdomThe room was very warm and difficult to ventilate without air conditioning. We were also travelling with a number of heavy bags and the lack of a lift was a real issue for us. We mentioned this but there was no possibility for a ground floor room.
For us it was convenient when passing through on our way from Gaspe to Quebec, and it location on a sunny evening was excellent as we were able to sit on the shore with a drink. The staff were welcoming and we had a good meal.

CanadaThe view of Chaleur Bay. The room while compact was clean and comfortable. We also recommend the restaurant Kano. Many delicious options and while there was not a gluten free menu or specific listings of gf options, the chef was knowledgeable about food allergies and provided direction as to what items on the menu were gluten free.

CanadaI didn't like the used soap with hair in it left in my bathroom, the used tissues on the floor by the bed, the dirty cups left for me to use for drinking coffee and water. Once I saw those things I had to double check the bed was changed over and refreshed, and it made me question things I shouldn't question.
I liked the location and the knowledge of the staff and the view from the rooms and restaurant.

CanadaWe were supposed to have reservations for both Dinner at 6:00 p.m. and Breakfast at 8:00 a.m. but neither got passed to the restaurant. We were served anyways, but dinner was dicey as they were very busy. The lights on the balcony are WAY too bright for the intended use. Too bright to stay outside as it hurt the eyes, and bled into the room quite a bit. Also destroyed the evening view of the bay. Safety is important but, no need for "Stadium" lighting on a nice balcony. The hotel is settling and there's a noticeable slant toward the water side. Hopefully they can rectify this before it gets serious. It would be a shame to see a nice building like this become unusable.
This is a lovely, older hotel, which in it's day, must have been awesome. Right on Hwy. 132. The room was nice, staff was nice. Loved the big balcony overlooking the shore of the Baie du Chaleur. We got there really early due to an unforeseen change in plans, and we were let into our room right away! Very, very kind of them. This is well worth a stay. Food in restaurant Kano was delicious!

United KingdomTiny bathroom sink basin, barely big enough to wash in. Hotel restaurant ambience was nice and the staff were good but our meals were both lukewarm rather than hot.
Room on the sea side of the hotel, with a balcony and great views. Large room with plenty of space and a comfortable bed

CanadaI selected a sea view room. The room was under the eves of the hotel ( 3 rd floor no elevator) with a very small window that we could not look out of because the portable air conditioner was positioned in the middle of it. Yes you could see the ocean on your toes but not what I was expecting at all. Very small compact room, clean, comfortable bed but very small. These rooms should have been discribed much better and only last resort.
Food was very good.

CanadaScreen door on the patio didn’t work. Floor vinyl therefore very sandy and really should be cleaned every day. One day no cleaner showed up. Had to ask for more coffee. Guests above us very noisy. The food in restaurant was disappointing for the money. Also not open for lunch.
The view was amazing. Love the balcony being so close
