Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We’re currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil, and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

How the walls don’t go completely up to the ceiling between the two bedrooms and the lounge. Didn’t really worry our group but could be a problem for some people.
Location was great. Only approx 7-10 minutes walk from restaurants and shops. Nice and spacious with good storage. Great to have washing machine and dryer.

The nearest supermarket is near quite a rough/lively district. The main bedroom overlooked the hospital on the main road, which was entertaining but noisy with sirens at night.
Fantastic modern apartment. High ceilings, bright and spacious. Kitchen well equipped. Easy access via code, so you don't have to wait about losing keys. The external part of the building was very attractive (people taking photographs when passing). Really comfy bed and good quality bedding. Great location, easy access to the metro, downtown Montreal and the port. A real gem.

The bed was a bit noisy. I had a chat with someone from Sonder about getting the tv to work with my apps from USA, but I was never able to get it to work. Parking is a challenge, and the lot charged us more than expected.
We liked the kitchenette, very well appointed. The room was clean and adequate. Check in was smooth. Location was good.

We were at the back of the building and looked out on a scruffy roof top and dirty car park. Just kept blinds closed😉
Well laid out apartment, fully equipped and very comfortable. Excellent location for Old Town in one Direction and bars and restaurants in the other. Close to Metro. Bought 3 day travel pass, really simple and good value for travelling around

Floor wasn’t so clean. Not many surfaces in bedrooms & bathroom to place toiletries etc. not that we needed a tv, but the only option to view was via personal streaming platforms

-They did some constructions in the building between 6-7 am which was really annoying -The fridge sound is uncomfortable and i had to wear my airpods all way sleeping Which i contacted sonder for it and apologized 😁

The blinds don’t fully cover the windows, so there is a lot of light as soon as the sun rises, making it hard to sleep. It was also a little noisy, but they provided ear plugs to mitigate this.
The apartment was well equipped, clean, and centrally located. It met all basic needs for a short trip. Thanks!

The apartment was exact to the pictures presented on booking.com| We were 4 travellers and enjoyed our stay at Sonder Gare. The property was well maintained, sparkling clean, new amenities and extremely pleasant to stay at. We will visit again and now book only Sonder. The check-in & checkout process was a breeze too.

The chairs in the kitchen were a little hard to sit on. No garbage room on each floor for garbage removal. No free luggage storage in the building.
Contactless check-in and check-out. Spotless and a very spacious room. Clean and spacious loo. Sockets near the bed. Close to the metro station and pharmaprix. Plenty of towels. Comfy bed. Free laundry with pods in the room.

1. It would be a fantastic stay if there wasn't a huge noise from the air extractor during the night (not during the day). Literally, the noise is intensive as in airplane. It seems that they know about the problem, as there are ear plugs offered in the apartment and even a white noise generator. If you decide to stay here, you better bring wax ear plugs, as simple ones just won't work. Guys, you should really deal with the problem, which as I see in other reviews make huge damage to the loyalty of clients. 2. This is about the current situation in the world, not even about a particular apartment. You check in at 4 p.m., but check-out at 4 p.m.! Meaning that you lose 5 hours. You can get these hours back until 2 p.m., but for an additional cost of 50 cad. 3. The bed is like a wooden desk, it was hard to sleep and when one wakes up at night the other would hear great noise. 4. We couldn't find how to order cleaning (as the function didn't work in the app) and where to throw the garbage, so we throw away small portions to the city bins.
The apartment is cozy and made with love. I was surprised to find excellent cooking panel and the oven, which helped us a lot to save some budget and eat healthy food during our stay. There was a hair drier. They thought about every little thing like coffee, items for washing machine and dishwasher, toilet paper, salt etc. They always answered any question via booking messenger quite quick. We lived in room 304, and it was quiet and only once we smelled cigarettes from the corridor. If not the 'cons' we could even return. Note: the additional registration after booking will be needed. You can use the side or separate app. Important thing that you should register on the same name that you use for payment, or you will spend additional time for correction and won't get codes and further information about your apartment.
