Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaBathroom barn door was bizarre, particularly the placement of it. Definitely not soundproof and did not offer sufficient privacy. Air conditioner was so loud, had to turn off to be able to sleep, the consequence was it was too warm to sleep comfortably. The breakfast buffet was limited considering the $25 charge.

United StatesThe entrance to the hotel was a little bit suspicious in an alleyway, but that turned out to be the least of my worries.
The staff made it so simple to check in, the location of the hotel was also perfect in old Montreal. The side of the room was generous, and the amenities offered were amazing. It looks like the hotel has undergone a recent renovation and it looked great.

CanadaThe design of the room has neither charm nor logic. The bathroom door is a sliding door that can't be latched and leaves slight see-through gaps at the edges of the door, with the result that the bathroom doesn't feel completely private, a feeling made more uncomfortable by the fact that the toilet faces this door. The couch is in the entryway facing the bathroom door, an uninviting location.
Wonderful location, friendly staff, clean, comfortable.

CanadaVery expenisve. Parking is $38 per night and they are VERY small stalls. Breakfast is $30pp. Be aware the hotel entrance is in more of an alley, so not a safe feeling to walk home alone at night. No views, you are lookibg a brick walls.
Great location. Right in he heart of Old Montreal. Clean, modern decor. Staff were great. Nice gym.

CanadaThe only downside of our stay was the breakfast experience. When I booked the room through Booking.com, it showed that breakfast was normally included. However, at check-in, I noticed the invoice stated “no meal included.” I’m not sure if this was a system issue or something on the hotel’s side, but I learned the hard way to double-check everything and not rely solely on the booking platform. That said, we decided to have breakfast at the hotel on our first day, and I found it quite underwhelming. We paid around $70 for two people, which felt overpriced given the limited options. The warm breakfast menu only included two choices—French toast or eggs—and I had to ask twice to receive it. Additionally, there were no clean coffee cups available when we arrived, and by the time we finished eating, they were just starting to restock. It all felt a bit disorganized, especially considering the price point.
We traveled to Montreal to celebrate my birthday, and the hotel made it extra special by leaving a sweet treat and a handwritten card in our room before check-in. The receptionist, Ester, was incredibly friendly and helpful—check-in was quick and smooth, and we headed straight to our room. Everything was spotless, and the bed was so comfortable. The room was well-equipped with a hair dryer and a steamer—perfect for refreshing our clothes after unpacking. I also loved the convenience of the water and ice stations on each floor, and the Nespresso machine in the room was a lovely touch. Such thoughtful details made our stay even more enjoyable.

United StatesThat breakfast was included
The breakfast has gone down hill in my humble opinion, so we only got coffee and or juice, then headed to the waterfront for a true Montreal breakfast. I wish there was a price option excluding breakfast so the room price would go down by 20-60 $.

Loved the size of the room we stayed in. The location could not be beat! The hotel was just around the corner from Old Montreal’s Main Street and a very short walk to Old Port. The breakfast was great, convenient when traveling with little ones. The staff were exceptionally friendly and there was on site parking. We will stay here again when we come back to Montreal!
