Not staying longer

The Fairmont Chateau is a winter wonderland. One of the most spectacular places I have ever stayed. The building is magnificent, both the exterior and interior. The view from our room and in every direction were spectacular and absolutely breath taking. The service is second to none. What more can I say. Definitely a bucket list location and it lived up to my expectations. I hope to visit again in spring when the lake thaws to the beautiful turquoise Lake Louise is famous for.

Construction started at 630am right outside our room and we were located next to a staff elevator and we were woken multiple times at night due to slamming door and loud conversations

The bathroom was too close to the bed and the doors don’t seal shut. It was very close quarters. I definitely would have liked a bit more area to move around. The view would have been lovely if not for the construction.

Since the hotel was under renovation, we could not use the spa because we could not find its relocation. We found the swimming pool a little small and insufficient. It is very nice to have many different restaurants for dinner, but the unfamiliar smell in the restaurant on the ground floor disturbed us.

Gold lounge was very enjoyable. The employees were very attentive and friendly. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed ourselves.. The champagne and cake sent to our room for my son's birthday celebration was a wonderful surprise. Thank you general manager Tracy Lowe..We had a very good experience with Fairmont that I can tell you about.. for example.. Never miss the gold lounge breakfast service. You will never be able to say no to an omelette from the delicious hands and friendly conversation of an Italian chef... In addition, all employees show all the respect and service they can to ensure that you start the day with a smile... Mr. Ben, the man at the Gold Reception, is a true gentleman...An expert who does his job very well.. I would like to have another dinner at Walliser Stube and enjoy the pleasant conversation and delicious food service of the waiter from Brampton, whose name I cannot remember now. In conclusion, I would like to thank the friendly Filipino driver Enrique, who took us to Lake Louise Ski Resort by shuttle bus. The whole staff is a big reason why we go there again.. thank you Fairmont employees 🥂

We booked Junior Suite with Two Queen Beds and Lake View. Unfortunately, we were placed in a room right above the future span construction site. There are few cranes & trucks working early in the morning. I guess they might try to speed up to avoid the extreme weather in the upcoming winter. There are two bathrooms but they are pretty small that I bumped myself here and there many times.

We were here some 30 years ago when the facility wasn't "Fairmont" yet. The hotel is very well maintained with more F&B facilities added. It is so stunning to see Lake Louise once you wake up. We were so grateful to have breakfast complimented. The breakfast is really excellent with great value for money. There are several dining options for lunch and dinner to suit your preference here. The hotel also has a good system to differentiate outside guests from hotel guests. There are several nice gift shops within the facility.

Bathroom was a bit cramped (we had a standard Mountain View room). Restaurants are expensive although also quite good. An extra lift would also be handy. There was also construction happening during the day for their latest renovations which added noise during the day.

The location and access to Lake Louise is the clear differentiating factor. Friendly and helpful staff too, and we enjoyed the spa. The Guides Pantry was also a good cheaper way for less formal meals.

Service was 4 stars... breakfast server brought 3 glasses to out table without a tray, dirty tables everywhere, phonecalls to the concierge desk were just delayed...

Activities provided at the hotel were quite expensive such as the “Sunrise at Moraine Lake” which was only a shuttle to the location (CAD 180 for two).

Location is right next to Lake Louise, so the view was amazing. The accommodation was great and there were lots of activities that you can join for a fee. Breakfast buffet was great!

The room was very tired and very bare for a hotel that costs as much as this did. The windows were also dirty from the construction which marred the view a little but appreciate you can't clean windows on a hotel this size all the time.

You obviously pay for the location and it didn't disappoint. The gardens, the layout of the hotel and the choice of activities and places to eat were top notch, even with construction ongoing.

Construction activity is more than we anticipated- though the hotel did inform us and it didn’t really affect us. The room and especially the bathroom was small.

Iconic location. Great to be able to stroll around the lake in the morning and afternoon without the big crowds. Food was very good. Service was friendly. Lovely old building. Comfortable room with amazing view.
