Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of Americano special assistance during check-in and check-out; for example, there was no indication of an elevator, which was available, and instead of a storage room, which was only one for a suitcase, they offered to pay for someone else’s services in 20 minutes. Their door code doesn't always work at the time before or after.
The best location, all activities on foot or by metro. It’s warm in the modest little room, despite the blizzard and icy wind outside the window, the equipment is new and works if you turn it on correctly. It was quiet at night, clean and there was a window to the fire escape. The TV started working after contacting support and the smell in the room was pleasant.

New ZealandI struggled with the online check-in and had to call, which was difficult without a Canadian phone plan . The shower only had rain shower heads .... no wall mounted shower head and that was partly annoying and they didn't work well either.
Location, clever design. I was upgraded to a lager room which was fantastic.

AustraliaA bit challenging to complete the preregistration without access to a mobile number and had a few staff ask me to call them to help with the process 🙃 Showers were also a hit and miss, sometimes were warm quickly, though other time I had to run the water for 10+ minutes to have a warm shower
Great location, 5 minute walk to the subway. Quick responses when I emailed or messaged. Good facilities with supplies available as needed. Room was small but loads of storage! Also enjoyed having everything on the app! Very easy to navigate!

CanadaBecause the rooms are small, the bed is close to the room door, so you'll hear guests outside and cars on the street.
The hotel is super central in downtown toronto with easy access to transit (streetcar and subway)

AustraliaRoom is small, so be prepared for that, but it was perfect for us!
The staff were super accommodating and helpful! The space is small, but heaps of storage for luggage and stuff so it wasnt on the way and didn’t feel cramped. Great location and lots of great food options around!

United KingdomThe stairs are kind of tough if you have many luggage. Only 3 lockers for storing luggage on the second floor. You will need to secure your locker space the night before or else you will have to store your luggage outside in sketchy convenience stores. There was no umbrella borrowing service. You won't see any staff so make sure to download their app for faster communication
There were two shower heads in the spacious shower, can let two people shower at the same time. Location is great

AustraliaWater took a while to heat up and sometimes didn’t at all which was not ideal when we stayed in late December. Unsure if room above us was residential or other guests but we heard a lot of noise most nights from 10pm-12am which made it hard to sleep.
The room was modern and plenty of space. The room felt secure as 3 different locked doors to get to it. Great view of Queen street.

CanadaSo the floor offers a total of 3 lockers. First come, first served. But it also doesn't really manage them. So when we arrived, they were all in use. After checking in, we regularly came back to look at the lockers. We never found a moment when they were available. It may sound weird, but I was initially curious and then when I didn't find them vacant after check-in, I got hooked on trying to find a free locker. I think they need to consider additional lockers (except where would they put them!). Perhaps the size of the rooms causes visitors to jamb the lockers so they get aa suitcase out from under their feet while staying at the Sonder? On check-out day, I went to use the shower but could only get cold water. At 8:00 in the morning, I was too late. Kind of a bummer. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable since we could really feel the springs through the covers. The bathroom uses a white glass door in a "barn-door" style. It is really a space saver but really useless for sound attenuation and privacy. Since the halls of the hotel are all hard surfaces, any guest walking in to the floor is also right there in the room with you. We travel with a white noise generator and it sufficiently covered any overnight issues.
The code was delivered to my mailbox ahead of arrival and the code worked perfectly. It was our first visit to a Sonder and we weren't really sure what we were getting into. But the "touchless" system isn't all that new and it was handled well by their system. We arrived before our check-in time and we still were able to access the building and our floor so that we could try and put our bags into a storage locker for the day (see the "didn't like" section for more on the lockers). The room is pretty tight but adequate for short duration we were in the city. I think if it were excellent weather, we would have spent even less time in the room. Make no mistake, this is a pretty tiny room. There's really no room for a suitcase to be perched on a stand around the outside of the bed. The bathroom was clean and bright. The shower was powerful. The TV was on the ceiling and was the only place that made sense since there weren't any chairs to sit on. Lying on the bed and looking up was fine. As a ROKU tv, it had the basic apps and a few streams. We weren't in town to watch TV but it did suffice.

CanadaThe stairs. I broke my ankle during my stay (not at your property) and getting up the stairs to my room was next to impossible. It would’ve been handy to know that there was a service elevator for such an emergency. I could not have done it without help, Also, having to enter the code into a keypad three times (on crutches) in order to access my room was a bit of a hassle.
Clean and well appointed. Great location.

AustraliaThe size of the room was much smaller than expected. No chair in the room to sit and eat when needed, but then there wasn’t really enough space for a chair anyway. The TV was directly above the foot of the bed making it necessary to lay down to watch TV. The inside window gave zero natural light. The bottles in the shower were at least 6 foot from the floor making it very difficult to use for someone only 5 foot tall. A small microwave on one of the bedside cabinets would have been a great asset to reheat purchased food.
Location was great. Everything within walking distance

CanadaThis is one of those hotels with no on-site staff, which is fine. However, having to pay $39 for a room cleaning by request was off-putting. The water temperature in the otherwise nice shower, was so hard to control, I had to skip a shower twice-- long time to heat up sometimes, too hot others. No fan or opening window in the room, when you also don't have it cleaned means it can get a bit funky. The room is small, just room for a bed.
The location was great. I was at a conference at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and the hotel is a pleasant 20 minute walk. There is also a nearby subway. Decor very nice, bed comfortable. Quiet.

CanadaRoom with no window, was not clearly mentioned when booked. The room is very small room, but i'm ok with that. There were regular annoying noises from plumbery, maybe when someone on the upper level was flushing the toilet.
Nice location, price is fair. The concept with no employee on site was not a problem, all the instructions sent were easy to understand and apply.

Isle of ManNo details of how to use the lift (door was locked) so it's a bit of a trek with suitcases. There are 3 lockers to store luggage but only one big enough for a large suitcase and it was already taken when we got there so we had to pay for left luggage. The property doesn't get serviced during your stay so once the coffee runs out, that's it!

United KingdomThe room was on the small side and could have done with another chair. For us, it would have been better if there had been a lift and we would have preferred a room with a proper window. We would have preferred a solid door to the bathroom.
The room was very good - it had everything we needed in it. We liked having the kettle and coffee machine. The bathroom was good and the shower worked well. The bed was comfortable. The location on Queen Street W was great for us.
