Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The lack of breakfast, even continental would be something.
Location, excellent. Unfortunately no breakfast available at the resort. Dinners were outstanding.

Furniture in room seemed dated and other than the beds, was cheap and uncomfortable. ( Chair, sofa) The booking was for 3 persons, but there are not even three chairs, only two bathrobes etc..... Place does not offer any breakfast service at all and is at least a 10-15 minutes drive away from the next Tim Hortons. there was no room service at all during our stay (2 Nights)- a cleaning of the garbage and check on towels or glasses would be the minimum to do in my opinion.
the place was clean and the room size was generous. the place is primarily tailored/suited for golfers. As I am not a golfer, I can't comment on the golf course or other amenities associated to it.

Darker blackout drapes would be nice. We were woken up very early (before 7 AM) by what sounded like loud gardening noise and staff conversations. It's a shame they had to schedule leaf blowers that early.
Staff was very helpful in switching our room. Our original room suffered from a strong vibration due to kitchen ventilation issues directly below. The rooms were very big and clean. The facilities were great.

Shame there was no option for breakfast as this hotel isn't really close to any where.
The room we had was large and had plenty of room for three people to share. The beds were comfy and we were able to get a good nights sleep.

The coffee makers in rooms must either be changed or replaced, coffee was rancid. Was not able to get the shower functioning. The fixtures were all loose? Although the food at the on-site restaurant was great, took about 20 minutes to get the attention of the host to get a table in an empty restaurant. She was busy chatting up the chef in the back.
The room was clean. Staff was pleasant at check in. The food at on-site restaurant was great.

the lake was across a busy road. the kitchen required a few more items - such as a bowl and bigger fry pan
the accommodation was a 2 bedroom ground level semi-detached unit. nice to be able to park in front. if you are there to golf it is perfect. we were just there for one night traveling through so very nice for 2 couples.

Patio chairs weren't cleaned, bird poop on one of them. Never golfed there before, could be better directions to where the next holes are, a few times we had to guess. Signs would help.
good, too bad restaurant wasn't open for breakfast, but it wasn't busy at all when we were there, I can understand why it's not opened.

Was very disappointed for a relative of mine who was also staying there that you did not have a handicap friendly room that he would have been much more comfortable in. The toilets are the original and very low for some people and there weren’t any bars for older people to grab on to while getting in and out of the shower. I am just referring to the rooms in the main building, the other, newer ones were probably all right. Other than the old bedspreads being removed from the rooms (thank God) everything else looked to be original, like the beds, carpets, sofas etc. they really need to be replaced to make the rooms more comfortable and cleaner.
There was no breakfast. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying there a few times many years ago when a couple ran it and had a lovely dining room and terrific breakfast. There was also a nice lobby with sofas where you could sit and chat with other people.

Had to go off property to get breakfast before 10 am,
Clean and comfortable. Golf course was beautiful and in great condition. Food was very good. Good locale for Louisbourg and Sydney visits.

No refrigerator in room but ice available.
Mildly surprised when we arrived. Very modern and clean. Great beds and jacuzzi in bathroom which we took advantage of after being on the road. (plus soft fluffy robes). Beautiful golf course but weather wasn't great.
