Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaDifficulty getting up to the room, loft style Stairs to negotiate.. but host assisted No AC, just fans or open windows Double bed … comfy but prefer Queen sized. The Canadian kettle system with pods is not what we are used to. These machines were in all Canadian /Vancouver hotels we stayed in … Personally i do not like at all their Keurig machines… just a normal kettle please So can boil for hot water, make a tea, instant coffee or sachet serve hot drinks. Way too complicated and waste of time.
It was an out of the way quiet location managed by two lovely, dedicated and interested hosts. They did all they could to assist in every way… with food places, transport help, and knowledge of their area. Thoroughly enjoyed their company and friendliness and understanding. Wonderful breakfasts , host personally made fresh each morning. Property location really needs guests to hire a car and know how to LH drive and be ok with that when tired. Can get BCF ferry to Island but then a taxi to Saanichton and B&B. Or fly into Victoria from Vancouver. Victoria is not super close . Buses do run between Butchart Gardens and Victoria.. alot more to do and see there. Do need to check bus times tho .. Dark at night, longish drive down to house in a cul-de-sac type road. Parking available… no beach /inlet access, private to other homes. Nice gardens, relaxing outdoors. Beautiful home environment.

CanadaThere was construction on the main road to leave the B&B, which made the commute to the airport longer than expected but that was no fault of the owners.
Beautiful location in a country setting right by the water and close to Butchart Gardens and Sidney. The house was lovely and comfortable. The rooms were large and beds were comfortable. We had access to a separate kitchen for fridge storage as well as cutlery and plates. Our stay included a wonderful and plentiful breakfast. Mark and Carolyn were excellent hosts.

CanadaThere was nothing we didn’t like about the property.
The location is great. It’s close to the ferry, and situated on a large property with amazing water views. We were in town for a wedding so we didn’t get to take advantage of nearby attractions but enjoyed our stay immensely. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable, which made for a great sleep. Mark & Carolyn, the hosts, had great communication prior and during our stay. The breakfast was delicious and very filling.

CanadaWe booked it for only one night to be close to the airport for an early flight so our stay there was too short ☹️.
Beautiful location and convenient to Victoria airport. Very nice room at a reasonable rate. Host, Mark, was very helpful.

United KingdomNothing it was perfect!
We had a fantastic 3 night stay with Mark and Carolyn and genuinely wish we could have stayed longer. The location is very convenient for the sights in the area (Butchart, Victoria, and Sidney). The property is idyllic with lovely grounds and in a very peaceful setting. Our room was spacious and comfortable. As for the hospitality the breakfast was sensational, all fresh home cooked and varied each day. Mark and Carolyn are extremely gracious hosts and we so enjoyed talking with them and the other guests. 5 stars are not enough and we hope to return soon.

United StatesI selected this B and B on the basis of its picture...And I was overwhelmed upon seeing the real thing. When you receive more than you anticipated it is a good thing! I am sorry, but there isn't a single thing I can say that I didn't like
Hidden off a country road, we turned onto a smaller, packed gravel road which led us to the Inlet B and B. It is a beautiful home situated in the middle of a lush forest and having a narrow path which circles the property. After check in, we hiked down to the inland sea which abuts the property. The owners, Mark and Carolyn, are well suited as hosts and made us feel special in their home. This is definitely a do-over. The over-all ambiance was wonderful.
