Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe coffee maker in our room had not been cleaned (old pod in the container) Only 2 pods of coffee in the room and both were decaf On check in you receive a voucher for 50% off breakfast, but the buffet was very limited - food seemed leftover (eggs dry, potatoes hard) and at 50% off we paid $25 for 2 people for breakfast. Have had better breakfast buffets offered free of charge at other hotels.
The hotel is in a lovely setting - gardens and picnic area out back Restaurant and bar on site Check in desk - gentleman that checked us in was excellent

CanadaThe fittings are getting quite worn and it is very expensive. No more free breakfast like there was the last number of times we stayed.
The location is excellent for a trip from west BC to east Alberta -midway between Van pcouver and Lloydminster.

CanadaThey gave us the wrong room and initially the wrong deal on breakfast then what we had booked from Booking.com. By the time I realized it, I had already unpacked all our gear.
The sitting area in the lobby with coffee & hot chocolate was beautiful with high ceilings and comfortable chairs and tables. It overlooked the forest with some lovely flowers.

CanadaAlthough the pool was overall pretty great, I found the water to be quite hazy. My daughter likes to retrieve items from the bottom of the pool. However, you couldn't really see under the water with goggles due to the hazy/cloudy water.
The staff was great, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. I really appreciated the free coffee in the lobby. The pool had a great waterslide, and the water temperature was nice.

We did not have the breakfast as we checked out before it was open. However, we had a very good supper the night we arrived!

BelgiumService in the in-house restaurant can be improved. Both for dinner as for breakfast we had to wait some time before being seated and before they took our orders even though there were not a lot of people and not all staff seemed to be busy
Rooms were good sized, swimming pool with slide is nice as well.

CanadaPrice. For the absurd prices, walls could be better, breakfast could be included and there could be actual cream for coffee instead of packets of CoffeeMate.
Way too expensive for basic services. Almost $400/night and breakfast isn’t even included. I guess it would be ok if I was super rich but if you pay attention to your money, you’ll only stay here out of desperation. If I hadn’t been moving by myself and a pet (recent surgery), I would’ve just slept in the truck for that price.

CanadaPerfect location for our family summer trip. We had young children who love to mountain bike, hike and swim. This hotel enabled us to do all of it. We made it a bit more affordable by bringing our own groceries and a BBQ. There is a lovely lounge with lots of tables for a family to eat dinner or hang out. There is also a great outdoor space with picnic tables that were perfect for a BBQ. We were able to cook there but the weather forced us to eat inside. Dog friendly.

There are a number of choices around the Valemount area to stay in but personally I think this might be the best one. Free parking right out front and reception was warm and friendly. Didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant, but based on reviews, it looks to be pretty good. We picked up some takeout earlier from a Japanese restaurant in village, but regrettably it was not good and way too salty and greasy. Should have tried the restaurant instead.

CanadaWe normally travel to BC during the Fall and home in the Spring (i.e., off-season) rather than either the Summer tourist season or the Winter snowmobile season, and we had last stayed in the Valemount BW+ in March 2024, so we were unpleasantly surprised when booking this time that the room rates were over 50% higher than what we had previously paid, and on arrival that the hotel had switched from the complementary breakfast buffet to 50% off on the buffet. Obviously a factor to remember when planning to travel in the Summer :-(
Best Western Plus in Valemount is a very clean, comfortable, modern facility, and has pet-friendly rooms. The breakfast buffet provides a wide range of choices and is well managed. The location beside the wetlands trails provides an enjoyable place to walk after a day on the road.
