Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMy room was above the subway lines and the early morning services woke me up, even over the white noise of the air con. Also would have liked some vending machines on the property for cold drinks rather than rely on the nearby convenience stores.
Property was in a good location, a little north of downtown but still close enough to quickly get there if needed. The room was a basement room, a little warm but the air con kept the room cool. Bed was a good size, tea and coffee making was good. Was also nice not to need keycards, just the Sonder app. Was good to be able to use my home tv subscription services to watch tv.

ArgentinaThere is no cleaning service, and they did some reparations on the room and they left it super dirty, I had to ask for cleaning services. Also, the validation process though the web it took me more than expected, it was not and smoothly experience
The hotel is really well located and confortable. Toronto is such a expensive city, that the balance between price and quality is ok.

United States of AmericaIt was as advertised. Nothing good or bad really -- just a bed and a tiny locked room in a convenient spot. But, it would be nice if there were any TV stations available (it has ROKU, but any services you want require your own account to be used and some of those, for me, don't work outside the US). But again, that would have just been to see the local news and weather in the morning so I was OK without it.
It's a tiny room with no amenities or staff but in an area that was convoientent for me (near UofT). For purposes of having a place to keep stuff during the day when I was out and sleeping, it was fine. But no space or amenities at all. Still expensive, but less so than hotels with space, front desk, TV, etc in the area.

United States of AmericaAlthough the location and area are great, it is quite noisy. Unfortunately, you can easily hear people walking up and down stairs and the metro every couple minutes. If you manage to ignore or sleep through it however, I personally found nothing else to critique.
The location of the Wellesley was honestly wonderful, being next to a metro station and easily being able to walk to nearby restaurants, diners, and explore around. The room is also a nice little retreat to come back to relax and get right back into it the next day.

AustraliaProperty is in a convenient location close to shops and transport. The room was tiny, but clean and fine for a short stay which was reflected in the price. Online staff were very quick to respond to any queries and the contactless check-in/out process was easy.

CanadaThere was a homeless person sleeping at the front entrance when I attempted to go back to the hotel and I had to wait 30+min to even gain access back to the hotel. The rooms are not sound proof so it was very loud at night. The rooms were also quite damp.
Location was really good. Staff on the phone was easy to communicate with.

CanadaEven though we stayed in the winter, the room was so hot. Couldn't get the air conditioner to work or any airflow in the room (our room was the small double room basement unit). I had to sleep without any of the blankets in order to make it tolerable. Also couldn't get any cold water to come out of the sink to fill up my water bottle, so was very difficult to cool down. I ended up taking a few cold showers while I was in the room because I was getting so hot. There was also no fridge in the room to keep any drinks or anything else cold
Great location, located right across Wellesley subway station. Very responsive staff whenever I messaged with any questions. Comfortable bed and clean, exactly what we needed for a two night stay in the city.

CanadaMy room was very small and it located in sort of basement. There is no beautiful view from outside window.
I didn’t expect there is no staffs and totally self- check in. But this is my first time to live in this kind of hotel, I feel it’s very interesting! The bathroom was very cool and clean, so I like it.

CanadaDidn't expect that the room was small -Well fair enough for the price. Would be nicer if a complimentary water is available.
It was a New experience for a self check in hotel. Room was cozy. I like that it is situated in the city centre, wherein shops, restaurants and transportations are accessible and nearby.

Great location (downtown, just opposite the subway, many good restaurants within a few minutes walk). The self-check-in system was easy to use. I had to make a same-day booking; for that, the price was pretty good. Had a large & comfortable shower.

IsraelThe shower's water tap is highly defective and uncontrollable. It's very difficult to manage turning it on and off, as well as controlling the temperature and water pressure. Every shower feels like a battle. The room was not clean; I found someone else's sock in it.

SwitzerlandThe advertisement created more expectations than warranted. There was no wardrobe, so no possibility of hanging clothes; no place for the suitcase - it was either in the way to the door or to the bathroom. No ironing facilities. The sideboard for the coffee machine and a desk lamp offered hardly any space for a laptop; the bed would double-function as a sitting place to work. It really is a very small room. With some better design, this could be upgraded.
This accommodation has lots of potential and is great for a short tourist visit to the city. Close-by connection to main public transport but even walkable to downtown for those who like walking. Cafes and shops close by. Excellent Wifi. Comfy bed and great shower. I also got lucky and got a great room toward the backyard - was very quiet. Loved it! And there was the possibility to easily store luggage on the last day. All in all, really everything you need for a short visit.

Luxembourgit is a strange feeling not to see any staff, but with wifi and app it all works (not suitable for travellers without smart phone). you get many text message notifications (so you need to have a data plan on your phone)
All went well - I can recommend the place. it is a strange feeling not to see any staff, but with wifi and app it all works (not suitable for travellers without smart phone). Descriptions were correct, you could hear the subway line a little bit, room #303, but with no problem for me (though I am quite sensitive). a small hotel, very clean and enough space. very central location. It is possible to leave luggage after check-out and before check-in, the keycode works all day - before check-in (6 am) and after checkout (till 10 pm) - an information very valuable. For late check-out you have to request 24 hours in advance, I did not remember seeing that information, though you get many text message notifications (so you need to have a data plan on your phone)
