Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Canada-The (female) washroom on our floor. --The toilet stall walls and doors needed cleaning (grime noticed on day 1 was still apparent on day 3). --Only one, dimly lit shower was in working order. It had a problem with draining efficiently such that the user stood in inches-deep water while showering. As the only (female) shower on the floor, it was heavily used and needed cleaning more often than what was provided.
Affordability. The building and the room were well-secured and felt safe. The location was central to our work. The facility was air-conditioned. The bedding and linens were clean. Access to efficient wi-fi. Public transportation was steps away. Access to a refrigerator, recycling bin, and compost bin in the common area on the floor. Ample closets (with hangers) and drawers. Access to a desk and chair.

CanadaThe disgusting smell of old in the room, dirty walls, the air conditioning was way too strong and did not adjust, it was very cold and I got sick. Also, all gender bathrooms are ridiculous. I was always uncomfortable.

CanadaBathrooms were awful. The showers were not clean, and it made for an extremely uncomfortable experience. Several toilets were clogged as well. Staff also did not seem to care very much as they tried to ignore our complaint about a person smoking beside us, and it seemed like they didn't care about their guests.
The room was a good size and we had everything we needed. It's simple but good for a few days. It was nice that we could store our bags as early check-in wasn't available.

United States of AmericaThe bedsheets are clean but kind of worn with stains. The noise from the hallways could get quite loud in the morning, with people opening and closing their doors.
Very good value for the price. The room was a good size for one person. Close to transportation and lots of food options in the area. The campus is beautiful with lots of trees.

Canadagender neutral washroom didn't feel clean around the toilets and the showers had mould; I never saw any cleaning staff I picked up some (small) litter in the hall because no one else did room windows were very dirty; two were actually open when I arrived and one was tricky to close some room surfaces had glass ring marks; didn't feel super clean in those spots bed sheets slipped around a lot; fitted sheets would be better luggage room wasn't secure; staff member let me in then left me in there alone to let myself out!!
location - lots within walking distance, access to public transit, beautiful campus room access - easy coming/going front desk access 23 hours/day price - I'd wanted a single room but even the double was a good price size of (double) room - felt very roomy, lots of windows, nice view of grounds quiet - never heard any disruptive noises access to streetcar 510 was super handy, especially direct to Union Station wifi was included lots of storage space coffee shop across the street

CanadaA little tight. The bed was not the most comfortable. A little unclean but for the price, it’s fantastic! No independent AC control.
Very easy to access. A little bit confusing at first but easy enough to figure out. It’s amazing value for money in downtown Toronto, steps from Kensington market.

CanadaFridges were turned off at the first location but on at the second. At the first one the desk power plug didn't work, then after filing a work order it started working only when the lights were on. The floors were also very dirty next to the desk. There was also quite a bit of construction noise and a window view to an interior court which was nice. For the second location, no construction noise but a nice view to Spadina which was actually less noisy. There was also a moldy patch on the wall.
Staff is great, location top notch, excellent value for the money. I stayed at Wetmore and New College III/ Wilson but can't remember which is which. Second location: nicer kitchen with fridges and also cleaner. Though there were some imperfections detailed below, overall you can't find a better value for the money in today's Toronto!
