“This time we had a room on the ground floor with lake view over the hedge and a nice patio sitting area. The room also had ac. The bathroom looked brand new with a large walk-in shower. The bed was comfy, had to ask for two extra-pillows which were provided straight away. Breakfast was good as usual, always choices of fresh fruit and delicious breads and buns. The self-service coffee machine is great and makes excellent coffee for every taste.
Great location, a 5-7 minute walk to the Piazza Grande, harbour and public transport, which is free with the ‚Ticino Card‘, ask for it at the reception.
The swimming pool with plenty of deck space and loungers.”
“SUPERB, SUPERB, SUPERB! This was our last of 9 hotels on a trip around Switzerland and the Piccolo was the best of all of them. Most hotels can be chosen for good location and great reviews as was this one. However, there is a nice surprise waiting for you on top of this. The hotel is very individual. It has its own style with amazing art throughout, the breakfast was amazing and the management was very friendly. I particularly liked how making us a takeaway breakfast for an early morning start wasn't a problem. Highly recommended.”
