We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

CanadaThe TV didn't work at all during our entire stay. At first it was connectivity issues when we tried to screen share and by the second night it completely wouldn't work at all and simply showed a black screen. This wasn't completely a deal breaker but for the price, the connectivity could have been better.
The check-in process was extremely easy, the staff are able to keep your bags if the room isn't ready but luckily they accommodated our early check-in time. The room is absolutely gorgeous and has a wonderful view overlooking the city and the trains. Wonderful amenities including a gym, sauna, onsite restaurant and bar. The room also included free drinks from the minibar and a speaker that you're able to use as you please. The location is good, very walkable from the train station and multiple buses/street cars. This includes the multiple museums and attractions that Zurich has to offer as well. We tried the restaurant onsite and the staff were extremely kind and attentive, great selection of food and drinks.

JapanThe air cooling system is not designed to endure a heat wave, so it was prohibitively hot even with a fan loaned from reception (which was covered in dust, and I endured dust blown straight at me before realising) The lights were calming, but totally not suitable for reading, working, or even putting on make up, as the spot light falls on a strange spot in front of the mirror and so you can’t really see yourself well enough
