Drain stoppage (though Katja fixed it promptly), pillows were too soft.

Katja is an excellent host and provided lots of helpful advice about things to do and where to eat in Bern. The space is very large, with more than enough room for a couple. The breakfast was ample and delicious. The shower was wonderful, with a rainfall showerhead and plenty of water pressure. There was a drain stoppage during our visit, but Katja came over and fixed it right away. The apartment is right on the river, with a nice view of the Bear Park and the hills above it, and we enjoyed looking out at the river as we ate breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Bern.

This loft is absolutely amazing! The view was wonderful, the shower was incredible, the breakfast was perfect. We loved our stay and Katja was so nice and helpful. This was one of our most favorite places we have ever stayed. We can’t wait to come back!

Stunning and quiet location a really nice neighbourhood. It’s a beautiful apartment overlooking the river. Exceptional interior and lovely terrace. Fantastic generous breakfast and friendly and kind host.

The parking was a little confusing because I wasn’t sure if I was entering a ZTL or not.

One of the best properties I have stayed in. Definitely recommend. Fantastic character. Quiet and comfy. Plenty of space, and fridge was well stocked for us. Wish I had stayed longer.

The apartment and the host were really welcoming. The house was provided with everything one would need, it felt like to be at home. The position of the house, on a side of the river and in front of the bear park was amazing. The house was designed with attention and care to every single detail, wonderfully artistic! Parking lot difficult to negotiate. Very small ramp. Hit wing mirror. Had to pay 900 $ to Hertz. But not property holders fault. Suggestions for future residents to be extra careful in parking.

This is an absolutely exceptional property. Our host could not have been more helpful. The fridge was well stocked, and the apartment was fantastic. We had been travelling around europe and this was by far the loveliest place we stayed! ....as for the location...it was brilliant, right on the river, and opposite the bear park (we saw a bear just out of hibernation). I absolutely unequivocally recommend this apartment.

Absolutely amazing place. Right on the river, terrace and balcony to enjoy the view which was incredible. Log fire and/ or underfloor heating to keep any winter chill away. Decor very professionally done. Breakfast included which was plentiful and perfect. Host was extremely friendly and helpful. Best apartment experience I have ever had. Highly recommend!

We come back to my home town Bern several times a year and have stayed in many different hotels and B&Bs - SONNEN Loft beats them all! It is a wonderful place, and we didn't want to leave: clean and comfortable, spacious and light, a great location with morning sun right on the river, beautifully designed by Katja and the AareSüdhang team.
